Not picking sides here but, alot of people are still saying naruto was holding back against sasuke because he had no intentions of killing sasuke, basically saying you cant fight at full power unless your intending to kill them which infact manga has proved this wrong on multiple occasions.

1. Remember when taka wanted to capture bee not kill him? But they had to fight with intention to kill attacks just to defend against bee's power.

2.When sasuke was fighting deidara he didnt want to fight deidara at all, he just wanted answers. Still he had to fight at full power to defend himself.

3. Kakuzu knew naruto was the prize for the akatsuki so he intended on capturing naruto. But once he seen his frs he knew he had to defend himself with intention to kill attacks which still failed.

Same can be applied to Naruto, he didnt want to kill sasuke but he still had to fight with full force to defend himself against sasuke intention to kill attacks. Sasuke just took the bijuu chakra for that extra push & naruto responded with the nature energy.

OT: Sorry for that wall of text.

I agree. But the fight was a TIE no matter what fanboys & haters say. They're both even & no amount of misdirection & false context will change that (not targeted at the OP)

It was a tie power wise, but sasuke lost in ideals of what a hokage is & what it means.

They're equal, nothing will change that yes, but you are wrong in this case.

Fighting with your full power in an attempt to wear your opponent out and fighting with your full power in attempt to kill your opponent are two different things.

Taka was fighting to take Bee down as quickly as possible.

Sasuke was trying to subdue Diedara as quickly as possible. Also, Sasuke had no issue with engaging in battle with Diedara. Unlike Naruto who protested several times during the vote2 battle.

Kakuzu was trying to defeat Naruto & company as quickly as possible.

Naruto's intent wasn't the same as in the examples you gave, therefore they are invalid. Naruto didn't want to beat Sasuke. Naruto didn't want to fight Sasuke. He wasn't trying to defeat him, kill him, capture him, etc. He was trying to wear him down, make him give up. This was shown several times in the manga, when Naruto stated he didn't want to beat Sasuke, when Naruto asked Sasuke if they still had to fight. This page sums it all up perfectly

In this one page you see both Naruto and Sasuke's respective intentions, which reflected in the way they fought

Now as I said, they are still equal. Regardless of the intent, the sum of both their power still cancelled one another out and left them both with nothing left. So while the intent did effect how the battle played out, it doesn't prove that the outcome would be any different. It leaves open the possibility yes, but it's only a possibility.

Yes, I agree with thy statement.
However, when Sasuke utilizes his intelligence and analytical skills in battle, that is when he is utilizing 100% of his power.

^^Agreed. Intent affects how you fight. This could've been a different style of battle had Sasuke not been so obsessed with killing Naruto. It's possible Sasuke would've fought a much more strategic fight with a more leveled head, in the same way that Naruto likely would've fought a much more aggressive fight had he had intent to kill as well. All those come into play OP

Naruto was focusing on defense more than offense at VOTE 2.

I can prove you how naruto was holding back with manga facts but i know it will become a mess.

I am just giving you a hint that Look at naruto's feat against kaguya (A fight before VOTE 2) and compare those feats with naruto at VOTE 2.You will get your answer

I never said naruto on the offense but he was still defending himself with full force. Outcome would still be the same regardless on how naruto would've fought at vote2. Naruto wasnt holding back but he wasnt trying to kill sasuke either.
