You don't seem to understand that the only reason madara did that battle with hashi was just for his skin, and skin alone. One cannot lose a battle they were not fighting for. Madara was not fighting him to destroy the leaf or anything, he fought him to get his dna, and he successfully got it, whilst he prepared himself for any kind of surprise coming from hashi as a just in case scenario, which so happened to be a sword from the back like a coward.
Anyways, yes, Sasuke and naruto are equal, but currently sasuke has absorbed all the bijuu's chakra, so we will have to see how that goes, and his talk with minato was nice and all, but it also healed him, at the beginning of the battle pein defeated him even in sage mode.
So naruto should have lost that battle, but of course his buddy kurama saved him and to no surprise, his dad as well.
