*Madara has been defeated through the combined efforts of the Shinobi Alliance. The Leaf Village wishes to appoint Naruto as the next Hokage, but Naruto doesn't accept it. He makes it clear that he has something to do before he can consider the offer.*
*Enter Scene*
*Sasuke is slowly walking away from the village. He saw the ceremony that was thrown for Naruto*
*Naruto approaches*
N: "Sasuke wait up! We have to talk."
S: "There's no need for us to talk. I'm not welcome there. There's no point in me returning to a village that won't accept me."
N: "You idiot! Everybody wants you to return! I've spent my entire life trying to save this bond and yet you continue to walk away. You refuse to accept me as your equal. Therefore, we must fight."
*Sasuke's interest is piqued. He smirks*
S: "Aren't you supposed to be the peaceful one? Hmph."
N: *Silence* "...Long ago you once said that two grand shinobi can read each others hearts when they exchange blows." *Pause* "Back at the waterfall, I saw into your heart...all I saw was darkness...if you must leave...I want to confirm that deep down you're still alive. After all, if I can't even save you, why should I be Hokage?"
*Silence*
*Sasuke attacks Naruto. Naruto, shocked, barely dodges the attack.*
S: "If you barely dodged that, then this is going to be easy...If this is what you want, I won't stop until one of us is dead."
N: *Smirk* "I wouldn't have it any other way."
*Fighting ensues. You can tell that Naruto is holding back*
S: "If you're not going to give me your all, I'll finish you!"
*Sasuke gears up a Chidori. Naruto, still struggling to grasp the situation prepares a Rasengan.*
*The two leap at each other.*
*Explosion*
*Naruto and Sasuke both appear in an empty space, but their bodies are still frozen at the moment of the impact*
S: "Naruto, after everything I've done to cause you pain, you still come after me. I've even tried to kill your girlfriend.. *laughs*...twice. Why must you keep chasing someone that is beyond saving? This is my destiny."
N: "....you were the first bond I ever had. For once I finally felt like I wasn't alone.... maybe if I had approached you sooner...none of this would have happened....anyway...there were times while I was chasing you that I questioned my ambitions. When we met at the waterfall, I couldn't even see the Sasuke that I used to know. I thought long and hard, but every time I thought of abandoning you...I realized...if I were in your position I would want you to charge me until the end! *Tears pouring down Nation's face* "If I lose you, everything that I have worked for will have been in vain. There are want things that I love in this world. My parents, my village, my friends...you became like a brother to me. I just wanted you to acknowledge me...that's why I was so obnoxious *slight giggle*...I would go to the end of the world for you, and I'll gladly die here if that means saving you."
*Still in alternate area, Naruto hands Sasuke a Kunai, then kneels before him.*
N: "..our bond means more to me than my life. If killing me will bring you back, then so be it!"
*Silence*
*Sudden transition back to the battle field. Naruto and Sasuke are still in the explosion, but you see Sasuke's Chidori diminish quickly.*
*Naruto and Sasuke are thrown rapidly away from each other and another Massive Explosion ensues.*
*Both are very injured, but Sasuke is more noticeably affected. Naruto rushes to his side.*
N: "Why did you stop your Chidori?! I thought you..were giving it your all?..."
S: *Smiles* "You won...*cough*...you finally beat me..now you can go become Hokage.."
N: "Bullshit! You let me win...why...?"
S: *Smiles again* "Your dream of peace means more to me than my life..*cough*..I have nothing else to live for. My purpose is served."
N: "Shut up! You're not dying here, you're coming back to the village to be Hokage with me! The only way we can achieve peace is if you're there to help me! Our ancestors showed that letting one power get too much control will just restart the cycle of hatred! That's why we must go..together..C'mon Sasuke..."
*Mutual tears*
S: "I don't think I'm gonna make it...brother... *smiles*"
*Sakura appears behind Naruto*
SH: "YOU KNUCKLEHEADS!!! I LEAVE YOU FOR TEN MINUTES AND THIS HAPPENS!"
*She rushes to Sasuke's side to heal him*
*All 3 are silent*
SH: "...I can't stand the thought of losing either of you....please never let this happen again..."
*Group hug as Sasuke attempts to sit up*
S: "Naruto.. being hokage was your dream..how could you just let me share it with you? You deserve to be the sole hokage"
N: "Because..without you this dream would never have happened. I'll more than gladly share this dream with my best friend! *That stupid Naruto smile we all love* Besides, if I were to solely take power, the cycle of hate would begin again. Just like with Madara and the 1st. I don't want s to end up like them. Instead of separating the power of Hokage.. we should share it."
*Silence*
*Sasuke thinking to himself*
S: "Itachi was right..."
SH: "Not to interrupt but YOU'RE DYING SASUKE! We need to get you to the hospital so you can start recovering!"
N: "So what do you say Sasuke.. will you come with us?"
S: "I suppose..it wouldn't be too bad..." *True Smile*
*The three of them get up and carry an injured Sasuke Home. Naruto on the left, Sakura on the right, Sasuke in the middle.*
*Camera slowly fades away*
*Camera focuses on one of the trees nearby*
*There, Kakashi sits. Pencil in one hand, book in the other"
*Camera zooms in on the book.*
"Naruto, the Child of Prophecy. The sequel."
K: I'd suppose that's a fitting ending, huh? *Looks up in the sky*
*Jiraiya, Obito, Rin, Minato, Kushina, Nagato and many others look back down, and nod.*
