First off, I'm sorry, because I know there are probably a billion threads like this. I just got to thinking about the outcome of a current Naruto vs. Sasuke fight and analyzed it pretty thoroughly in my head - I'm interested in hearing some feedback, constructive criticisms, and counter-arguments, as long as you're being rational about it. Also I know this is long as **** so I understand if you see it and go like "... nah."

Please understand, I'm trying to look at this as objectively as I possibly can. That being said, right now I just don't really see how Sasuke is much of a match for Naruto.

Even Mangekyō genjutsu is useless against Bee because Gyūki protects him from it - assuming Kurama can do the same for Naruto (and there's nothing to suggest he can't), Naruto is essentially impervious to genjutsu. That means genjutsu is out of the question for Sasuke to beat Naruto with, even with something as powerful as Tsukuyomi.

It's already been shown that, when in Kyūbi Chakra Mode, Naruto is faster than Ay, who was able to dodge Amaterasu - it thus is only logical that Naruto would be able to do the same, meaning Amaterasu would not work against him. Plus this means that Naruto is far faster than Sasuke in general - even though Sasuke's powerful Sharingan would likely allow him to be able to at least perceive Naruto's movements and attacks, it's doubtful that he would physically be able to keep up with or effectively react to them. Also, let's not forget that KCM gives Naruto enhanced physical strength and highly increased durability.

If it came down to a taijutsu exchange, Sage Mode would give Naruto a big advantage. The speed boost (even though it's not as big as the one provided by KCM) would most likely make him faster than Sasuke, and he would be far more physically powerful as well. And while Sasuke is historically a more skilled taijutsu user and a highly skilled swordsman, Naruto's mastery of Frog Kata, in addition to his speed and strength boosts, might put him on par with Sasuke in hand-to-hand combat. However, Sasuke's Sharingan would still be a huge advantage here as it allows him to see through attacks; the only thing it might not help him with is the Frog Kata, as it utilizes natural energy as an extension of one's own body - I have no idea if this is true or not, but it's possible that he might not be able to perceive that stuff with the Sharingan.

And on the topic of Sage Mode, it stands to reason that Naruto would be able to use the Sage Art: Amphibian Jutsu (where Shima & Fukasaku sat on Jiraiya's shoulders to gather Nature Chakra for him while in Sage Mode), because the only reason he couldn't do it before was that Kurama was rejecting Fukasaku's connection, forcing him away. Obviously Naruto is now on good terms with Kurama, so that shouldn't be a problem anymore, making it possible for Naruto to potentially maintain Sage Mode indefinitely. That gives him a level of stamina that Sasuke simply doesn't have - he'd be able to keep fighting way longer without getting fatigued.

There are a few things Naruto might not be able to get past - the Chidori Stream, for instance. It's an extremely solid all-directions defense maneuver with no real blind spots, and it could potentially make it very difficult for Naruto to get close to Sasuke. He would be forced to use a long-distance technique, and the only ones he has are the Rasenshuriken, Mini Rasenshuriken, and Tailed Beast Ball. Obviously all of these are very powerful techniques, but Rasenshuriken and Tailed Beast Ball especially take a lot out of him and it's not like he can use them a ton of times (okay, maybe Continuous TBB, but I honestly have no idea of the limits of that), and Mini Rasenshuriken is so tiny that could be very easy to dodge.

Then, there is the Susano'o. There are a couple of things to take into account here: first of all, we don't quite know the extent of Susano'o's durability, but I would guess that a Rasenshuriken or even a Planetary Rasengan probably wouldn't cut it. It's more likely that the only thing in Naruto's arsenal that could stand up to a Final Susano'o's defensive capabilities is the Tailed Beast Ball. Now we don't really know how many TBB's Naruto can fire off before he gets tired out, but seeing as how he's been shown using CTBB's, it's probably less of a question of how many he can launch before he gets fatigued, and more of a question of how long he can maintain Bijuu mode before he gets fatigued, and this has already been shown to be not very long. However, it has also been shown that when in BM Naruto is capable of producing a TBB that is equal in power to five TBB's from other Jinchūriki in their perfect, fully-transformed BM's - that's a ****ing powerful attack. I'm skeptical about Sasuke's chances, even with an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan-powered Final Susano'o protecting him, of surviving that attack. At the very least, I'd think his Susano'o would be significantly weakened. Plus, we don't know if that was some super-powerful TBB that Naruto really charged the hell out if in order to counter the five that were already coming at him, or if that's the base power of his TBB. If it's the latter, than I find it extremely unlikely that Sasuke would be able to survive a barrage of CTBB's that powerful, even with his EMS Final Susano'o.

On the subject of Sasuke's Susano'o arrows - I don't think there has been any kind of official confirmation on whether or not the arrows are faster than Amaterasu, but I tend to think that Amaterasu is probably faster, because even as quick as the arrows are, they still have to travel a physical distance to reach their target, while Amaterasu simply manifests itself wherever the user is currently looking. If this idea is true, then Naruto should be fast enough to dodge the arrows when in KCM. However, there is no way of confirming this theory, so as of now the Susano'o arrows are Naruto's biggest concern.

I don't really know how long Sasuke can maintain his Susano'o before he gets fatigued, but I'm guessing that because he now has the EMS, he can probably hold it for a really long time - probably much longer than Naruto can maintain BM, and possibly KCM as well. However, if Naruto were to employ the Amphibian Jutsu that Jiraiya used, he would have a damn near infinite Sage Mode, which severely lessens the chance of Sasuke wearing him down in a battle of stamina, as previously mentioned. Although in Sage Mode, he lacks the ability to produce a TBB, which, as previously stated, is likely the only attack he has capable of damaging an EMS Final Susano'o.

In general, Sasuke is also just a more strategic and more intelligent fighter. However, ever since Naruto mastered Sage Mode, he's become a much more tactical fighter and has come up with some very clever battle plans. This could all be a moot point though, because both Naruto and Sasuke are very emotionally intense people and their better judgement is easily clouded by their emotions - Naruto by his strong feelings of friendship (one-sided as they may be) for Sasuke, and Sasuke by his intense hatred of all things Leaf Village.

Overall Naruto has most of the advantages here, it seems. Somehow I just don't see Sasuke having much of a chance in winning this fight. I think the one thing that could prove to be Naruto's undoing is, as previously mentioned, his feelings of friendship toward Sasuke. Although Naruto is totally devoted to protecting the Leaf Village, I think it's totally plausible that he might subconsciously hold back against Sasuke and not have the resolve to fight with full intensity against the person he (idiotically) considers to be his closest friend. Sasuke could easily take advantage of this to land a finishing blow, as he has absolutely no qualms about killing Naruto. Other than that though, it seems to me like Naruto's holding almost all the cards here.

TL;DR - if Naruto can find the resolve to fight Sasuke without holding back, I think he would win pretty decisively. If he let his emotions get in the way and didn't go all-out, I think Sasuke would win.

I don't "want" Naruto to win and Sasuke to lose, so please, offer your opinions in support of either character; I'm interested in hearing them. Just know that if you have something you think is worth saying, back it up with proof or logical conjecture like I did, otherwise I won't respond. I'm interested in conversating, not arguing mindlessly.
