No this was nice. There's more at stake this time, especially for both characters. I think Sasuke's progression to this point is the most earned, because Kishi has been building him up to this point for years now, ever since he learned Itachi's truth from Obito.

He just fought in the war to make sure Itachi's death wasn't for nothing, since the war was still going on. Sasuke loves Itachi enough to at least follow through on his wishes to protect the village through the war time, but after that he's fulfilled his duty as brother. Now it's all about Sasuke, which I love.
