In excitement?: In excitement Naruto has surpassed DBZ. Almost every fight has some sort of surprise factor in it. Every fight has some sort of build up to it. If you take away the Kaguya fight that is.

in fights?: In the fighting department we got multiple things to work with here. It is more stragedy based and skill based in a sense that the elemental aspect comes in to play. I also found ground fighting to be more fun to watch, than in air fighting. I feel with the animation at Naruto's disposal it has done a nice job. Of course this show would not be best known for it's fighting. More of it's plot base.

in powerlevel?: In power levels DBZ defiantly has the edge, but than again why should it matter? I don't really consider looking at a strength of a character to call it a better show.

In story?: The story for Naruto has been far deeper than DBZ. Almost every character has some sort of reason to be who they are. The story teaches you a lot of good Morales and habit's you can learn from. I personally found Naruto's story to be far better and in depth.

I don't know why people call DBZ the better show than the current shows. Lets be realistic here, if you take away the nostalgia factor. What does DBZ have that other shows don't? The standard of making good anime has increased now.
