Naruto VS Sasuke: Childhoods

Shitty childhoods. The series is full of them. But what about the two main characters?

Basically, if you had to pick, which childhood do you think is more tragic? Which do you think is the the worst? Which would you rather experience?

I think I'd rather experience Naruto's childhood.

Naruto has definitely had a rough childhood but I'd not knowing your family over losing everything. The bonds you already have and loved for years upon years being taken away, being manipulated into the Avenger mindset, mentally tortured and being emotionally scarred forever. Caused by a person you looked upto, a loving brother.

I think VoE sums it up perfect imo.

Sasuke 's childhood is terrible being Sasuke , and see your parents get kill , by your own brother, --- the brother you had Idol,, the one u looked up ,..

But Naruto's childhood , is worst : caring the creature who killed your parents, the creature that made you feel different , lonely , and abandoned , unacknowledged by no one , wanted, cared by nobody , loved by nobody... all the time in danger , for yourself , and those you care ..

I think people's pains can't be compared or measured when they are in certain extents (for ex. not when you compare them to Sakura, it is obvious who had pain).

But if 2 experiences are really hard, there is no means to compare or scale them. Do we have a measuring device, or do people take pain in similar extents? No so no point in trying to measuring the thing that can't be measured.

OT: I'd go with Sasuke on the trauma factor.

it really is up to each individual that is experiencing the trauma. I feel like if Naruto and Sasuke had been switched at birth, their fates would remain the same because they are different people and things effect them differently. It really would be hard to measure their pain and compare it.

I feel like i would have handled, personally, Sasuke's life better. Though being mindf**ked in any way is bound to cause some issues.

Well we can't really compare experiences since they both are in different situation. but if we had to I would say Sasuke's life is the worst and has the most pain.

I know Naruto was lonely, ignored, disliked, etc. All because he was burdened with carrying Kurama.

But that is nothing to Sasuke's pain if compared.

Sasuke and Naruto when they attended schools or even went walking around the village seen families playing together. Yes, people talked about Naruto, and also insulted him. Naruto would be sad looking at all the families, and realize that loneliness in him. But Sasuke had it worst. Sasuke would see the families and be reminded of the family he once had, also everyone always brought up the clan he loved when talking about him. He kept reliving that pain, it's like a scar being reopened everyday. I'm surprised he even went to school

Everyone kept reminding him and expecting him to be great. To live up to the Uchiha name. I bet you everyday he remembered his fallen clansmen faces and his parents death and Itachi.

Now compared to what Naruto felt, that is nothing compared to how Sasuke had it.

It's impossible to determine which one had the worst childhood. Both are bad in different ways. Sasuke may have lost people whom he had bonds with, but Naruto was empty from birth. He could only imagine what a bond felt like.
