When I first watched the fight when the so called "bad animation" kicked in. I almost laughed.
Obviously when I saw things like this:

Anyway, onto the point, the point I'm trying to make here is, the animation was really fluid. That I actually didn't mind it. It almost reminded me of the old naruto, for some reason. But tbh, it really wasn't that bad. I'm wanting to know if anybody else thought it was more entertaining to watch?

What do you think?

It was a horrible animation choice.

the animation is epic, quality sucks... if you do more research you will understand that pain vs naruto battle had really epic animation, but if you want epic animation your quality is going to suck, animation = the smoothness of a character's movements

While that is true, its not like they have ever had decent animation. Other than filler and maybe some other like 5 kage arc etc.
But honestly, I thought it was entertaining to say the least.

It was terrible, but it was indeed fluid.

Yes, as the guy below said, which I actually forgot about, the fluidness was actually nice for a change, although the actual quality was horrible

Yes it was very fluid and that was something I enjoyed with the Original Naruto. Shippuden feels alittle more stiff and the characters animations are quite poor.

It was waaaay too fluid, i mean the characters' limbs were streching around too much, everything in an animation should keep balanced in every aspect; first i really did not like the animation; but it was overall funny and entertaining; i loled when pain got hammered on to the head.

the animator that animated this battle is pretty famous, he also animated orochimaru vs sandaime, that is that animator's "style" of animating, very fluid and smooth character movements but the quality is aweful, if you look closely you'll notice how fluid pain moves but the weird faces and all that and bad quality is a part of that animator's "style" of animating.

I don't watch the anime but lol that was actually in the show? I always thought this was a fan-made animation.

Like other people said, it's the same form of animation brought in for Hiruzen vs Orochimaru and Naruto vs Sasuke, where image quality is sacrificed for animation fluidity. They just went a bit overboard with this one :|
