Any theories on why Naruto didn't phase through Obito when they crossed paths at the beginning of the war? I distinctly remember Obito being surprised at this (unfortunately, I can't find a link to the chapter/page).

Yes! the headbutt. At first I thought it might be the key to defeating Obito, but now I'm not sure what it means.

Chapter 264, page 1. I agree with Dantee, he was probably just taunting. But who knows? Maybe that's the difference between "real" 9 Tails Naruto and a kage bunshin 9 Tails Naruto?

Actually, upon further review, I take the last part of that back (assuming that it was real Naruto that phased through Obito when Kakashi threm his raikiri kunai.

i remember well...Tobi just wanted from naruto to scratch his mask...but naruto couldn't even that...

He didn't see Naruto coming... even though he had the Rinnegan... and could see through the Jinchuriki's eyes... and has a Sharingan...

Everybody slips up every now and then. He was probably daydreaming about Rin, thinking he had time to.
