Naruto vs Luffy vs Ichigo

Do you think that Naruto is the lamest and the most boring main character of the three? State your reasons why or why not?

This is not about bashing Naruto. Because I believe that many people rank Naruto below the other two. Why is it? And why it should not?

He will just deny most simple logic and do things on his own.
Has better development than Naruto and ichigo.

If anything Ichigo would clearly be the worst out of the three, being the one with lesser development and lacking an actual goal.
Luffy is the typical shōnen protagonist, (all of them are, but luffy is the most Goku-ish one) though I like him a lot and rank him above Ichigo and slightly below Naruto.
This latter one, IMO has had the best development throughout the series... his goal of "breaking the curse and finding peace if such thing really exists" is both the hardest and the most important goal one might have...
Naruto is far from being called "the lamest" and "most boring"...

Id say bleach is the most boring and i read the big 3 + alot more every week. Luffy is my favorite manga character but the NV is my fav manga, maybe cause of this site?

I don't know much about Luffy since I've only ever watched a few of the Anime episodes years ago. So I can't really compare him to Naruto in terms of development.

But from the little I know and have seen about Luffy, he is far more interesting than Ichigo, who I would put below the other two. Naruto is far above Ichigo as well. Now I watch/read bleach but it has never been for ichigo but more for those around him.

Goals: Luffy and Naruto have a goal they push for. Luffy wants to be King of the Pirates and Naruto wants to be Hokage, Ichigo just wants to protect his friends? The other want to do that too but that is just a part of their overall goal not there very reason for living.

Development: Luffy I can't really speak for but from comments a tidbits i put together i can see he has been thoroughly devolped, like Naruto he has experienced the pain of loss, defeat, and triumph. Luffy and Naruto's skill set have been thought out and fit with their character. Ichigo only gets a power up after he is pretty much killed and no ever really died except for captains and vice captains this last arch. Ichigo doesn't even care about any of them really.

Ichigo is the most uninspired of the 3 in my option. His powers are always all over the place, he has a boring personality and I never find myself rutting for him in any of his fights.

Luffy is best. Naruto is second and Ichigo is third.
I don't really think that Ichigo is suited to be main character, he's good written character but not for protagonist.

I agree with you with that Naruto's goal.

People look at different aspects, and I believe the Naruto dislikers dislike Naruto because they think Luffy and Ichigo has "better personalities". Like "Ichigo is cool" and such.

No, but he is 2nd worst. His character has developed a lot from when he was in part one to now. He has now taken on the roll of breaking the cycle of hatred and it will be interesting how he figures it out.


That above is WAY more character development compared to Ichigo. Bleach is great to read if you don't care much for character development and just plain fights. Kinda like DBZ. All ichigo does for character development is based on him getting another random power up. Oh he unlocked Shikai. Now hes op. Oh he can control it, yay. Oh now he got his ass kicked, he must unlock Bankai. He unlocked bankai and kicks ass yay. Oh no hes going to lose. Yay hollow powers saved him, etc.... ALL of his character is based on him wanting to protect his friends and getting power ups to be able to do that. Very boring compared to Naruto or Luffy. Speaking of Luffy....


Luffy is the most interesting out of the big three by far, and almost everyone that has seen OP will agree. the only ones who don't are those who don't watch OP and/or OP haters. We get a character who is strong, wants to find a crew and sail the grand line to find a treasure. At first it doesn't look like much, but then you see his personality, his interactions with the other crew members, what he would do for his nakama, etc... OP has the best character development and story of the big three by a mile. The biggest reason for that is because of Luffy.

I don't see a single person who likes One Piece not hate the main character Luffy. With Bleach, I see people say Ichigo is boring and they like other characters more like Aizen, Kenpachi, Byakuya, etc. With Naruto's fanbase, I see people actually hate Naruto as a character. You have the entire Sasuke vs Naruto debates all the time, and how one fan of one hates the the other character and viversa. It is so ridiculous how bad some fans are. These arguments don't even exist among One Piece fans.


So yeah, Luffy >>>>>> Naruto >> Ichigo

There isn't much to debate if you watch all three.

Luffy's the worst. There's literally nothing to him other than a love of adventure and getting ticked off when good people are hurt. Say what you will about Naruto, but when it comes to depth, Naruto has the most out of the 3. Am I the only one who likes Naruto's speeches? What he says is pretty childish, yet he says it in such an awesome way.


Actually, I take it back. Ichigo's the worst. He's completely bland.

Luffy is a 2-dimensional type of a character you know what i mean? And hence why a whole lot of people like me tend to like him. Because he is that "carefree" type of a character.
