I found this quote playing assassin's creed 3, and it really made me think. Like, I see Konoha accuses alot of people of wrong, and state their will of fire is the right way to peace. We are "the truth", and it comes off sometimes to me as they're riding on their high horse. Which is one reason, I sort of side with sasuke. I see alot of hate, and rightfully so because of what the villians have caused to happen, but I think Kishimoto also wants us to think about something when it comes to why people commit evil acts.

"Everything is a matter of perspective. There is no single path through life that's right and fair and does no harm. Do you truly think people have no cause? No right to feel betrayed? You should know better than this, people who themselves see their work as just. Think on that the next time you insist your work alone befits the greater good. Your enemy would beg to differ - and would not be without cause".

So, how do you guys feel about Villians and their overall impact in Naruto?

How? TWOF isn't even anything to boast about? it's just a nice method to live your life by. 'It is an ideal rooting from the belief of the Senju clan ancestor that love is the key to peace'

I'm sorry for the likes of Orochimaru and Kabuto and Sasuke, but that does not make them right. And I also am not very fond of Konoha or the "Will of Fire." However I do respect the idea of the Shinobi doing whatever it takes for his village. But I digress.
I don't like Madara and Obito's villainy because they're villains because they were rejected. Oro, Kabu, and Sasuke are legitimately insane due to real trauma inducing experiences they had.

Honestly, I think both Uchiha & Senju became corrupt. I feel like the Senju did something that re-started the blood feud between both clans. Sasuke's father wouldn't have felt strongly about the Coup for nothing. Something happened between the two after the Uchiha's peace agreement with the Senju.

Destiny is the cumulative actions of what one does.Meaning its never set in stone.
Evil is not inherently born for the sake of it but as you said born from conflicting perspectives and is a title casted by the opposing force.Whoever wins is the one who writes the history books as they say.

rurouni kenshin preaches similar truths as does my favorite show ever breaking bad :)

It's kind of like cycling. If all contestants are drugged up, will you not do anything to stay in the game? I'm afraid protecting the village quite often goes hand in hand with breaking rules/morals. That's just the way the Narutoverse and our Universe operates. Cheat or get cheated on.
As for villains, I agree with HiddenSound. Kabuto, Oro, Sasuke, Nagato etc.. All victims of atrocities. However, Orochimaru gets my respect simply because I like his backstory.
