Basically, this is a thread about the major villains of Naruto and what they represent in regards to the issues facing the world of Naruto. Here we go:

Pain: Representation of the Cycle of Hatred

Obito: Falls outside of the cycle of hatred, he's the representation of a good ideal taken to its dangerous extreme

Madara: The dark past of the ninja world that still grips its present

Gaara: The effects of the discrimination and prejudices of the major villages

Sasuke: Pretty obviously revenge, and also the inability to let go

Kaguya: The corruption of power

Orochimaru: The twisting of innocence

Kabuto: The loss of a sense of self that comes with being told to be a heartless weapon and a trustworthy friend/companion meant to nurture the next generation all at once

White Zetsu(s): The tools the ninja use to wage war with each other

Bijuu: The isolating nature of power and discrimating and corrupting nature of fear

Black Zetsu: The source of evil and corruption that takes hold on all the others (except Kaguya)

I'm probably looking too far into it, just thought it'd be fun to play around with
