What I can say

This is an interesting thread with a lot of well constructed arguments, and it's definitely a subject I think about often. Obviously, the answer to this question is highly subjective, and I don't believe there is a single right answer. I like reading everyone's opinion on the matter, though, and I hope this discussion goes on.

Naruto used a chiyo like jutsu to save gai
He just gave him life force
Sakura probably save gai's life afterwards, because he was still damaged, the IT saved his life by putting him in suspended animation before he died

Sakura can actually extend her regeneration to other via Katsuyu and could've faved him like that

Hinata is also better healer than Sakura despite she has 0 knowlegde in medical but still able to heal up Naruto shoulder in 1 strike while Sakura failed to do it.

Given Hinata some medical knowlegde, she can beat Tsunade in medic any day soon.
