This post I'm quoting is just a perfect example of the mindless and idiotic lengths people will go in order to bash a character for whatever reasons they want.

It completely ignores that Naruto's 'cool guy' opinion of Obito is grounded in WHO OBITO WAS and WHO OBITO BECAME after TnJ with Naruto. Naruto saw Obito's past and saw the tragedy that led him to do all those horrific things that Obito thought were right, and after understanding that and seeing Obito's old self, he was able to see that the Obito who stood before him and died was really a cool guy and not the same person who started this war.

As far as the whole raping sakura thing goes, if Naruto peered into the guys mind and saw that the guy had a very tragic past, and was truly sorry for what he did and was spending the rest of his life trying to make amends for his errors, then obviously it's not unrealistic for someone like Naruto or many people in the real world to forgive him.

He was used by madara when he was kid, but he kept doing the same thing over his whole life even at the age of 30 or more which is unforgivable. He had his own brain to think and for judgment. Now if he said was biased by madara and becomes cool to everybody, makes the other criminal matter of forgiveness. Because realizations of your sin is not judgment. Punishment is. He killed lots of people by using jubi and cause of kaguya is also him. To me its like you launched a nuclear weapon on a country and killed a lot of people and after that you realized you made mistake and now tried to help fighting with casualties doesn't make you cool. Its my personal opinion though.

The fact that if a criminal apologizes, but even so, he/she is not forggiven, is just to avoid arbitrariness, which is fine (unfortunately, it has to be this way; it is sad, but otherwise, coexistance would be impossible), but we humans tend to act resentfully in regards to this matter, as own of our culture is to lead us to resentfulness, in what is a modern materialization of the selfishness of our survival instinct, but we try to justify it with the ridiculousness of "ethics", "moral", and such.
