Is generations worth buying?

Should I drop 60 bucks on this game, for real? Is it that good? I mean it looks cool but will I get $60 worth of quality play time out of it?

i say yeah kinda of an 60 dollars isn't much i have to pay 40-45 pounds and that's around 70 dollars

Personally, I miss the spammers. As it stands, spammers are at a serious disadvantage to those who've been fighting since Storm 2. I was one of those and seeing people still trying to spam is sad; all they're doing is setting up themselves to lose. I miss the spamming though because now I don't feel challenged at all. The only person capable of spamming is Sasuke and his amaterasu. By the way, I won't vote since I can't say "hell no". It's a good game still, just needs some actual players vs those that are moving over from storm 2 thinking they can still spam to win. It's sad though; people need to play for fun, not wins.

If you have Storm 1 (meaning a PS3) and Storm 2, then you really dont NEED this game ASAP. I have an xbox, so this game was highly anticipated for me. I definetly WOULD get the game regardless though, but if you own Storm 1, then wait for a price drop. Similar to Storm 2, the story mode is split into different character stories, but there are now more of them (about 11 campaigns) and they are more split up.

For example: Part 2 Naruto's story. One of the first battles in the story it skips - Sakura vs Sasori. HOWEVER this is because the campaign is NARUTO's, therefor you only play what he experienced. The fight is NOT forgotten however, because one campaign features the Akatsuki in general, so you do play the fight but as Sasori as oppose to Sakura.

For every campaign there is a [roughly] 5 min anime sequence before and after, with the exception of Part 2 Naruto and Sasuke, who only have it at the end. The campaign plays like this: Anime cutscene, still frame story, fight, still frame story, fight, etc, cutscene, the end; for all 11 campaigns. This doesnt sound like much, but trust me it is very enjoyable. Now thats just the campaign, in addition to this there are a ton more online modes available, including tournaments (4-8 players ranked battles, 1v1 at a time), a new training mode (not online, but you can modify anything in this mode like starting in awakening and lasting forever in it), survival (how long you can last against an endless 1v1 match with only a single thing of health), and others.

Like I said, if you dont have Storm 1, pick it up for 60 bucks, if you do wait for a price drop but get it non the less.

yes, its kinda worth it
the game has more a lot more online features, and about 15-20% of the characters are completing new
the gameplay is kinda different because of sub jutsu limit
and @makeril jesus christ the game just came out, ofc theres ppl thatll play like news
wait a few days til ppl actually know what theyre doing

i posted this as a thread to y naruto gen is bad i dont want ppl wasting money o n this game...naruto storm 2 = naruto gen NO IMPROVEMENT
who else thinks that naruto storm gen. is going to be a bad game, before you judge here me out i had this topic on my mind for a while and i think it is time for my message to spread so that the creator of who ever is making this game has to change it up here are my points;

1. one of the biggest thing on my mind was the roster I THOUGHT IT WAS A BAD IDEA TO BRING BACK THE OLD CHARACTERS, its like why would you want to play as the old version of a person when you can play as the upgraded character with better justus,looks,bujji ect. if i want to play as the old characters i would play naruto storm 2, they spent so much time redefining, debugging ect the old character where they can put time into making the new characters better with customizable clothing, justus, bujji, unlocking tail modes ect which will be determined how much you play in the multiplyer by leveling up. and they included like multiple narutos and sasukes ...WTF its like why do that just make one of each and through the progression of playing multiplayer/story you can be able to upgrade your person to a better one.........WHAT WE WANT IN FIGHTING GAMES ARE NEEEEEEEEEEW CHARACTERS WITH NEW ABILITYS....it is like they recycled the old characters from storm 2 to gen, its a F***IN DISAPPOINTMENT.

2. another disappointment was the maps once again recycled environment from storm 2... THIS SHOWS ME NO IMPROVEMENT BIG LACK OF CHANGING IT UP you guys really need to up the anti on the maps. its like a frikin wallpaper in the back ground. humm okey i was impressed back then in storm 1 brought it back in storm 2 and BRING IT BACK IN GEN. does it kill you to change it up and add some animations in the background, or make the environment destructible, or create a knock back moment of the map so that when the character is hit hard it knocks the opponent into an animation off side the edge of the cliff. DONT JUST RECYCLE MAPS FROM STORM2, pplz come up with new ideas!

3. thirdly, was gameplay ONCE AGAIN NO!!!!!!!!!!!! IMPROVEMENT this gamplay is what i expect from naruto storm 1 i dont not want a game where you chara dash and spam the attack button and create a combo ANY body can do that make a combo system like street fighter. anybody can hop on this game completely new and just spam the attack button or corner camp and spam kuni knifes and win. I WANT A GAME WHERE YOU TRAIN LIKE A TRUE NINJA BE CREATIVE AND MAKE MY "OWN" PERSONAL COMBOS... why do you think games like halo, gears of war, battlefield, street fighter, WoW are so popular is because they "cost skill and encourages you to train to become the best of the best"... "cause when you get that kill in a skilled game you feel that accomplishment knowing that i trained for this moment and i feel that i worked hard to become the best....."

4. lastly, multiplayer game types/server i think it will be great if put alitte more money to create dedicate servers <-- but to be for really i think you guys have more problems on hand than worry about dedicated servers at this point lol. and once agian does it kill you to up the anti on the gametypes, humm okey its great that you added tournaments but it would be interesting if you added a game type like tag team doubles so you can have friend by your side.

bottom line is that the creators need new ideas, by getting creative and bring it up a notch its like the same old game over and over its starting to be like COD lol dont make that happen

Absolutely worth the money. Online people are still a bit easy for me. But, in time they'll be a challenge which would make it a lot more fun for me. I'd say if you're not a good fighter then hurry and get the game before everyone learns how to actually fight.

it's really fun. only complaints are a) really not a good story mode but then again u should know the story by now. and b) no boss battles which i thought were really awesome in UNS2 but totally worth it imo

Character roster is epic, no more kawarimi spam (you actually have to think about if its worth it), Story mode is watered down but you don't have to run through the annoying world environment to progress the story so it's faster to unlock everyone.

I'd say totally worth it.
