Hello Narutobase friends!
I have been following Naruto for a while, and have just become a member. As we all know, there has been quite the confusion over the last few chapters with regard to various events and characters. In an attempt to help resolve the situation, I have tried to make a rough skeleton of a timeline of the events in the Naruto universe. My outline follows, enjoy! (As a side note, I am by far not the most informed Naruto follower, so if I am misinformed, let me know so I can make the appropriate changes, I’m just trying to help)
A few things to mention prior to:
1. AAG stands for “After Academy Graduation" (of the Konoha 11)
2. BAG stands for “Before Academy Graduation"
3. I am making several assumptions in this timeline
3a. Many events/dates are based off of the assumption that academy grads (genins) were immediately given a leader.
3b. Many dates towards the beginning are assumptions/approximations since there is not much concrete information on such dates/events (such as the date of the start of the First Shinobi World War or Konoha’s founding or some peoples birthdates)
4. I am using the Manga and the Databooks as primary resources, although I do not post the pages directly, if you would like to know where I am getting this from, feel free to ask!

The Sage of the Six Paths moulds chakra and discovers/creates jutsu, tames the 10-tails, and spreads his techniques/religion across the Naruto world.
The Sage of the Six Paths dies, chooses his Younger son over his Elder son to become his successor, and thus begins the battles between the Senju and the Uchiha.
Around 88-89BAG- Birth of Hashirama and Madara.
Around 86BAG- Birth of Tobirama.
67-69BAG- Treaty between the Senju and Uchiha, Founding of Konoha.
68BAG- Birth of Hiruzen.
Around 66BAG- Battle that created VOTE.
*Besides Hiruzens birth, the above were assumptions*
61-62BAG- Tobirama is head of Team Tobirama.
51-53BAG- Approximate time of the First Shinobi World War. Death of Tobirama, Hiruzen becomes Hokage.
50BAG- Birth of Jiraya.
45BAG- Birth of Nagato.
44BAG- Hiruzen becomes head of Team Hiruzen(Sannin).
41-42BAG- Birth of Minato.
37BAG- Appoximate start of the Second Shinobi World War.
Around 37BAG- Nagato uses the Rinnegan for the first time.
Around 37BAG- Jiraya finds and begins to train Ame Orphans.
Around 34BAG- Jiraya leaves the Ame Orphans.
31-32BAG- Jiraya becomes head of Team Jiraya.
29BAG- Birth of Kisame.
26BAG- Birth of Kakashi, Rin, Obito, etc.
17BAG- Minato becomes head of Team Minato. Birth of Itachi.
13BAG- Third Shinobi World War. Kakashi becomes Jonin. Obito is crushed by boulder. Hence saved by Madara.
12-13BAG- Minato becomes Hokage.
12BAG- Nine-Tails attack on Konoha. Birth of Naruto. Death of Minato. Masked Man appears.
Around 7-10BAG- Kisame meets masked man controlling Yagura.
5BAG- Uchiha Clan Massacre. Masked Man appears with Itachi right before.
0AAG- Naruto and the rest of Konoha 11 graduate from the Academy. Kakashi becomes head of Team Kakashi.
1AAG- Naruto leaves to go on his trip with Jiraya
3.5AAG- Naruto returns from his trip with Jiraya
5AAG- Current Events/Fourth Shinobi World War
