Naruto Third Series Discussion + Thanks Staff/V!

Im sure you were all affected by the hacking of NB. Versuvio and his staff were able to contain the problem and are taking there time to help everyone get their accounts straight. So I think it only fair that we thank him.

So while discussing in this thread. Please take the time to post a thank you to them for helping with this problem and keeping NB alive.

As for the discussion part of this thread. If there was a continuation series of Naruto, which of the following would you want it be? This is assuming that the series is finished at the time of the continuation, so sections like reboot don't mean to restart it before the series is finished.

Reboot: Start the series over from scratch and reimagine it. The vibe of this type would be to keep it faithfull to the original series but make it completely different.

Direct Continuation: Essentially, just keep on with the same series. Have a part 3 that's heavily influenced by the past events and keep the same story going.

In-direct Continuation: Keep Part 1 and 2 as the lore of the series, but would be largely ignored for part 3. Meaning part 3 would largely be its own story and have little to do with part 1 and 2, but would use them to establish the world around the characters in part 3.

"Lost Stories" continuation: Essentially do a bunch of small "Kakashi Gaiden"s or a few large ones. This would detail events that we didn't see on screen in the previous series.


In my own opinion, I would want to see a Reboot, In-Direct continuation, or a "Lost Stories" Continuation. As I would enjoy any of them. As the story of Naruto himself is at an end, and a direct continuation would ruin the series and his character.

I'd go with indirect-continuation or "spin-off" with new characters, or diving into older characters.

Naruto's story is about to conclude and pushing it further than this seems odd. I want the kid to go out with a bang and all of the characters in his story too.

There's no way part 3 will be about new characters. The show is named NARUTO. Maybe kishi will make an older naruto the main character for part 3 or maybe he'll be done with the series at the end of shipuuden

This thread is under the assumption that he would. By no means does it mean he will.

Continuations within the same canon aren't always named the same. Rambo for instances, was originally named first blood, but sequels changed that.

Masashi Kishimato in one of his interviews has mentioned that this is the end of naruto series and he is not going to write another part or anything related to naruto

I'd definitely want to see something like that. There's so many characters and events in the series that are only referenced throughout the series. Even though they're not necessary for the story, it would be awesome for Kishi to flesh out these background elements as a collection of individual chapters.

For example, I'd like to see more about Sakumo Hatake, the Sage (if we don't see that story in the main series), and maybe even Minato. Kishi could also use the opportunity to explain certain events like the previous wars.

What I'd really like to see is Kishi answering some versus questions by showing the battles in a chapter to end those debates once and for all, but I can't see that happening. xD

As for the discussion I've always wanted Naruto to be like dbz in the aspect that we see an adult Naruto and companywith their children and the story focuses on that aspect while allowing for different viewpoint ts between the kids and adults in different arcs.

I'd just like Naruto manga to have a satisfying ending that would wrap up everything, really.

Or almost everything, with a bit of an open ending. For example, leave Oro alive, walking off into the sunset saying how he was going to keep observing the tides/wind/whatever.
