[Theory] Naruto the next sage

Honestly, the only way I see naruto becoming the so6p is with sasukes help. Rinnegan requires uchiha and senju DNA in order to activate. Uzumaki are supposed to be close relatives of the senju. Now that sasuke and naruto are fighting together, it becomes extremely clear. Naruto will either get his eyes injured while sasuke is dying so sasuke will ask Sakura to give naruto his eyes(the same way obito did to Kakashi). Sakura has her purpose, she will be the one to transplant sasukes eyes to naruto. At that point, naruto will fight valiantly but madara will still overpower him, even with his new eyes. Just before dying, he will awaken his rinnegan the same way madara did. He will kick his a$$ and revive sasuke. Sasuke will the become the Hokage of the leaf, exposé the secrets of the leaf. Such as the uchiha clan massacre. That my friends is how the sTory will end.

Or Naruto and Saskue goes Dragon Ball Z and fuse together to form the sage.

The only other way for Naruto to obtain the rinnegan is to foil Akatsuki's plans and become the Jubi Jinchuriki.

That is a very good theory, kind of foreshadowing with what happened to Obito and Kakashi. I like the optimism!

I think that the whole thing of the Rinnegan being the result of manipulation of DNA is far apart of what is being a sage.

People divides ninja on useless or useful based on their participation in the frontlines, so if they are not in the frontlines, "they are useless".

The same thing with the sage thing, if Naruto can't get the Rinnegan then he can't be the sage... and so there are people who thinks Naruto won't be the sage and that Sasuke will be the sage because the Rinnegan is the next stage of the EMS, with some help of Hashirama's DNA.

I hate to tell this, but think Naruto doesn't need the f*king Rinnegan to become the SO6P, he doesn't even need the tailed beasts chakra. He only needs their consciousness, and there is a beast left in order to achieve that: The Hachibi.

When (Presumably based on my theory and others) he does get it, it won't be because of Sasuke's eyes, or the premise that you need Senju+Uchiha DNA. He will get it because of the collective chakra of the Juubi (aka the Bijuu's) inside his body will manifest and he will awaken the Rinnegan.

In the essence of being "The sage" he needs to Rinnegan to become it fully. Not having it would be false foreshadowing as besides being the Juubi Jinchuriki, the most identifiable characteristic of the Sage was his Rinnegan.

I want him to get it either way. It would look cool on him and he would make the best use of it (Both Morally and battle-wise).
