Chapter One
Twelve years have passed since the "Fourth Great Ninja War" and much has changed between then and now. There are newly elected Kage's as well as new Jinchuuriki, respected and valued for their occupation. Smaller villages such as Amegakure and Otogakure have gained an official status in the world. And finally, peace has prospered vibrantly with no battles occurring in this short time span.
That is ... until now.

"BRAT!!!"
"Get 'em!"
"Don't try and RUN, kid!"
"When we catch you, your so DEAD!"
"Heh, heh, heh! You'll never catch me, idiots! Nyah!" giggled a young blonde boy while sprinting down a barren road. Paint in the form of ridiculous faces littered the wall and vulgar messages drawn with chalk stained the nicely paved concrete.
"Your father is going to be furious when we bring you to him!"
"Yeah, right! That's if you can catch me. Hah!" The blonde boy sprung into the air, towards a building. Suddenly, a figure appeared on top of it. A middle-aged man with a green vest and dark blue sleeves stood triumphantly, his hands on his hips.
"Whoa!" shouted the boy, obviously surprised.
"Gotcha'" yelled the man who know held a handful of the boy's shirt. His face suddenly turned comical and he shouted; "Now what you stupid brat! Your father is going to kill YOU!!!"
The boy looked down in defeat. "Oh no ... damn you Iruka! Always stopping my fun! "

"Excuse me miss! The Hokage asked that no one disturb him!" the secretary declared, her voice hard. The young women sat behind a large mahogany desk with papers littered all over the top. Her hair was in disarray as if she walked straight of bed into the building without any care.
"Not even his personal assistant! And that means you Sakura Haruno!
"Oh! Is that right?" Sakura responded sarcastically.
"Yes! In fact he's ..." the secretary began before being cut of rudely.
"In FACT, indeed. He's probably ..." BANG! The double-doors to the main office of the Hokage were kicked open. Sakura walked in briskly, her long pink hair flying everywhere while she headed straight to the reclined chair where a man was still snoring despite the apparent noise.
"WAKE UP YOU IDIOT!" shouted Sakura angrily.
"AAGGGHHH!!!" shouted the man, effectively knocking all of his belongings off the desk.

"Continue telling him what you did!" said Iruka, his arms crossed against his chest. He now stood in a brightly lit, circle room along with four other people; the boy, Sakura, the man, and the embarassed secretary.
"And then I threw rocks at the Jounin, leading them to a walkway where I had peed on and they all slipped ..."
The man sighed and leaned back in his chair, pinching his temples. "How could you Yahiko?" he asked quietly, his voice full of anguish and despair.
The boy's head snapped up in response to his name. "How could you ... GET CAUGHT YOU IDIOT! I was having a perfectly good nap until this beast ---" points at Sakura "had to come ripping through my door and waking me up from a good nap filled with RAM --- ugh!"
A fist collided with his cheek sending him sprawling against the large glass window that sat behind his work station, taking up the entire wall with the beautiful sight of Konoha.
"How could you be such a fool? And in front of your own son, NARUTO!" asked Sakura bewildered.
Naruto sat up rubbing his cheek, he had blonde hair and blue eyes, just like his son except his was slightly longer in the front and his son's pupils were all grey because of the Byakugan. He wore a long cloak with the word HOKAGE engrave on the back in Katakana. He stood up and brushed himself off.
"All jokes aside, you've made me late for your brother's ceremony that I had promised him to be there on time. For that, you will receive a karate chop." said Naruto sternly, his hands locked in a grasp behind his back.
Yahiko said, "Huh?" and yelped as his father chopped him on his head.

Naruto and Yahiko both walked steadily towards the Villages Academy where young Ninja were trained and prepared to become Genin, the first level of being Shinobi. Sakura accompanied them. She was interested in the new prospects this year as her generation's children would be the upcoming protectors of the city.
"Yahiko, you have to stop pulling these pranks. All they do is get you and me in trouble, so how about you spend your time doing legit stuff like training or helping out your mom?" asked Naruto.
"'Cause that's boring and I do wanna train, but Nagato is always busy and your always at work! Mom is ... well mom and Nina just tells me off!" complained Yahiko.
Naruto sighed. "Your mother is busy taking care of the house and Nagato is busy with schoolwork. Nina is the maid so naturally she can't do anything. You have to take your own initiative and learn Ninjutsu yourself. Your about to enter the academy in a year so enjoy your time until then. Aah! Here we are."
Children are gathered in a large courtyard, their parents amongst them, hugging and congratualting them on their accomplishment. Naruto scans the crowd but doesn't see his eldest son. Finally, he spots him on a swing, sitting alone.
"Nagato!" Naruto shouts waving.
The blonde head tenses and then slowly turns revealing a huge grin on his face. "Dad! You made it. And Sakura even came!" Nagato shouted excited, running over to his father. "What's up squirt?" asked Nagato, poking Yahiko on his forehead.
Yahiko growled. "Fight me, older brother! Let's see how much you've grown. HIYA!" he shouted, jumping into the air. He began to attack Nagato with everything he had, but non of his hits were landing. Instead, Nagato stood still, easily countering his every attack while talking animatedly to his father and Sakura.
"Hmm! TAKE THIS!" Yahiko threw a final punch aimed directly for Nagato's face, but he side stepped it, and tripped Yahiko who slid into the bushes on his back.
"Yo! Naruto" called a familiar voice. Naruto turned and smiled. "Ah! Shikamaru and Temari! Even Ino and Sai are here to celebrate."
"That reminds me," Sakura began "I have to meet Lee and ---"
"Go." Naruto said smiling. Sakura nodded and walked off to meet her husband and daughter.
"She could've at least said 'hi'" Ino muttered upon reaching Naruto and his children. "Dear, please." Sai begged quietly.
"How's it going, eh Naruto?" asked Shikamaru with a grin, finally reaching Naruto's spot.
Naruto chuckled. "It's been well, Shikamaru. How about yourself?"
Shikamaru groaned. "You keep me busy with work, so ... you know!" They both laughed kindheartedly. Temari unwounded herself from Shikamaru's arm.
"I'm going to go get Shiatsu. You coming?" she asked curiously. Shikamaru nodded. "Catch up with you in a sec."
Temari walked off and Ino decided that she would join her and find her own son, Sachi.
Sai stayed behind as well. Naruto noticed the serious look on his face and asked Nagato and Yahiko to go and locate Tenten and her son, Temujin to invite them over for dinner.
"What is it?" asked Naruto seriously. Sai shook his head and chuckled darkly.
"Besides the Hokage standing out in the open without any of his bodyguards? Oh, not much although the Yakuza have been gaining more ground in the smaller countries." Sai said.
Naruto tensed. "The Yakuza? You mean that group of criminals who've been trying to implement their own civil system in the weaker countries? I thought Amegakure and Otogakure had since taken out the Guerrilla Faction? We've given them spots at the Kage Summit, so they should at least take care of their countries from these terrorist and actually act like Kage!"
Shikamaru pulled out his lighter and cigarette. "I've heard that their not gaining much ground. Anyways, there a bunch of blockheads is what I heard from my time in Sunagakure and here. We should assign the rookies missions concerning these guys, take them out before they become a problem."
Naruto grimaced. "Your right. After a couple weeks with their Sensei's, I want them out on the road A.S.A.P. Understood?"
"Yeah ..." Shikamaru said dully, blowing rings of smoke into the air.
"Yes!" declared Said standing straight.

"That's him! That's the Hokage! I have to do this now ... I have to!
Who is this mysterious person watching the Hokage? Could it be an assassin? Next time, we find out who, Nagato's group members and his Sensei!
