Chapter Four
Nagato and Daisuke prepare themselves for their opponent, Konohamaru Sarutobi. Their plan is simple; corner him and attack --- relentlessly!
Konohamaru Sarutobi was bored. He sat on a large, grey stone, a leg propped up against the other that hung from the ledge. His face was being held up by his arm that was bent at the elbow. Sleep threatened to overtake him. It had been hours since he last seen the trio! During that time, he had paced, effortlessly, around the entire forest, waiting for the delinquents to attack, but no such aggression came.
To be honest, he was disappointed. He at least would've thought the hot-headed Sui Fong would confront him. Not even that wish was realized. Somehow, his mind began to wonder on about food. How good did some Pork BBQ sound --- !!!

Shuriken whizzed past his face. Panicking, he slipped off the stone and landed on his back. Scrambling upwards, he came face-to-face with Uzumaki Nagato. He stood there spinning his Kunai around his finger with a smug look upon his young face.
"What was it you told me? Aah, yes! It was, 'You shouldn't leave your back facing an opponent!'" Nagato said cheekily.
Konohamaru frowned. He had let his guard down. In the real world, that would've spelled failure or worse, death. No ... this wasn't as severe. At the most, he was dealing with a creative brat that could know a couple of rough Jutsu.
No ... nothing too severe.
He could sense the next attack from the tension it brought. He back flipped avoiding the clutching hands of Daisuke who groaned as his hands grasped at empty air.
"Dammit! I thought I had him!" he groaned, exasperated.
Nagato shook his head. "That would be too easy my friend."
"Isn't this surprising? I never thought any of you would work together?! Seems like I'm pleasantly disappointed, huh?" Konohamaru leered.
Nagato cocked his head to the side. "You were betting to much on our personalities. Nothing is ever set in stone, Sensei!"
Konohamaru smirked. "Well said, youngster. But if you please, I've been stiff these last few minutes and really need an exercise, so, how about you too work me out?"
Daisuke grinned. "Gladly!"
Nagato, too. "Let's go!"
Both boys charged, sequentially getting in front of each other. Nagato sniffed, "I'll flank his left! You attack his right!" Daisuke nodded. "Affirmative!" As one feinted the other did the same, trying to lure his attention together to confuse his attack method.
Konohamaru couldn't help but smile. These two would keep him on his toes surely. As they drew near, he took notice of their pose. Nagato held a Kunai while Daisuke carried a small ANBU blade. First, he would disarm them and then --- immobilize.
The boys lunged, but Konohamaru jumped into the air. Both attacks collided causing a loud chatter and sparks to fly. As he fell, his hands became a blur as he prepared a Jutsu. "Wind Style: Gale Force technique!" He blew softly and a gale of wind was produced from his mouth both boys were blown away into a large oak tree that groaned as they smashed into it.
"Your gonna have to do better than that, young men!" Konohamaru taunted. Nagato stood and dusted himself off.
"I know, Sensei ... Rasengan!" Nagato yelled. Wind began to be drawn into the large blue ball sitting on the palm of the Blonde's hand. He held it away from his body, his knees bent to charge once again.
"Daisuke, provide me with cover just like we planned!" Nagato shouted over the roar of the technique. Daisuke merely nodded, forming the handseals necessary to perform the Enhanced Fireball technique and out of his mouth shot a large, red ball made up of heat and fiery wisps.
Konohamaru was indeed lost. He knew the second attack was meant to be a diversion ... what was the point of announcing it like that?
He didn't have time to figure it out, though, because suddenly, form behind, Nagato's Rasengan smashed into his back.
"What?! How? " Konohamaru asked himself. His vision focused on where Nagato had been. No one was standing there anymore! He grunted as his spiraled forward, straight into the sun-like object. "Shit! is this what they were aiming for?"
He flew into it, the explosion becoming nearly 2x stronger as the Wind Nature of the Rasengan reacted with the Fire Nature of the ball.
Nagato jumped and cheered as their plan had worked. Daisuke celebrated too, running over to Nagato and and jumping on his back in happiness.
"We did it! I can't believe it worked!" Daisuke sung in disbelief. Nagato shrugged.
"He didn't know that I possessed the Fourth Hokage's special Kunai. There was no way he could've sensed my instantaneous approach." Nagato mused. He remembered dropping the Kunai after being blown away by the wind technique.
"So that's how you did it."
Both boys spun around, shocked. Konohamaru stood there, nearly unscathed except that his scarf was badly burned although the marks merely disappeared into the fabric.
"Rasengan and your grandfather's special weapon. That is truly amazing, Nagato. Good thing you didn't know everything about me, or I surely would've been done for!" Konohamaru said gripping his dangling scarf.
What is the secret behind the scarf?! What could've possible protected Konohamaru from the perfect fusion of Nagato's and Daisuke's joint attack?! Next, the shocking revelation of Konohamaru Sarutobi!!!
