Chapter 2
A soul's rest! Darkness approaches!
Enter the Southern Water tribe.
A snake awakens....Kabuto, with blood all over his face, slowly wakes up floating on a sheet of ice.
Kabuto: "....E..h.....That was a close one. I'm lucky to...even be alive. But...where am I?"
(Kabuto looks around)
Kabuto: "Snow? Ice? Am I in the Land of Lightening? No...no. I don't...sense any chakra at all, but I do sense...people."
(Kabuto slowly drifts to a nearby village. The Southern Water Tribe.)
Kabuto: "I wonder if these people will become my allies, or my enemies. Either way, there grave awaits them."
Enter the Firelord's home.
Azula: "Ty Lee, be quiet."
Ty Lee: "Sorry Azula, but I'm just so happy you're Firelord! You have finaly achieved your dreams!"
Azula: "Not all of them. When dreams are completed, new ones take their place, correct?"
Ty Lee: "I guess so."
Azula: "Now, let's just get some rest. Tomorrow, we'll be visiting the beach. I have a thing or two I want to do, now that I am ruler."
Enter the outskirts of Omashu.
Maka awakes from her nap in the trees.
Maka: "Soul, that was awful. Who knew trees could be so-"
(Maka turns and see no Soul)
Maka: "Soul? Soul?"
(Silence. Maka looks all around the tree)
Maka: "Soul! Soul!"
(Silence)
Maka: "No...Soul..this is all my fault. He's gone because I couldn't protect him. Soul!!!!!"
(Soul appears behind Maka)
Soul: "What is it?"
Maka: "S-soul? Where were you?"
Soul: "Sleeping."
Maka: "But I was screaming your name. You didn't answer."
Soul: "Yeah, it's too early to get up."
Maka: "What?! We are lost and you're worried about waking up too early?!"
Soul: "Be quiet, tinytits."
Maka: "What? Soul! I-"
(Soul covers her mouth using his hand)
Soul: "Sh! Someones coming this way."
(They hide while a traveler walks past them. Soul throws an apple at him, before he's out of range)
Traveler: "Trees throwing...apples?"
Soul: "Well, Maka, what now?"
Maka: "We need to get the last kishin soul."
Soul: "We're lost. It's lame, but shouldn't we report back to Shinigami-sama or something?"
Maka: "No. Well, we can't. We have to capture the soul. Getting home may be a different story..., but we took the risk taking this assignment."
Soul: "Damnit. Well, I guess we should find the soul as soon as possible. How far away are we?"
Maka: "We aren't too far. If we start now, we'll arrive tomorrow morning."
Soul: "Morning assault? Sounds cool."
(Maka and Soul hop down from the tree and begin their walk.)
Soul: "Man, this sucks. I wonder what Black*Star and Tsubaki are up too."
Enter the DMWA. Classroom-Dr. Stein.
Black*Star: "I knew it! I passed this small test with flying colors. Yahoo! Nothing can stop me!"
Tsubaki: "Black*Star...."
Dr. Stein: "This is the first day of the test, and we haven't even started yet."
Black*Star: "I'm at such a God level, I can predict the future!"
Dr. Stein: "Step back two inches or you'll fall off your desk and break your nose."
Black*Star: "I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I a-"
(Black*Star falls)
Tsubaki: "Black*Star!"
Black*Star: "My nose..was so brave it took the blow for the rest of my face!"
Dr.Stein: "Interesting. Did you predict you falling, aswell?"
Black*Star: "You better..Ow! Believe it! I'm so big, I broke the gravity around me. I couldn't make the future wrong. Well, I, Black*Star could! But I chose not to!"
Tsubaki: "Of course."
Dr. Stein: "After you finish the test, I'll examine your nose."
(Someone knocks on the door)
Dr. Stein: "Hm? Come in."
(Medusa walks in)
Medusa: "Dr. Stein."
Dr. Stein: "Say no more. I forgot about our plans. No need to scold me. By the way, could you look at Black*Star later? Due to his Godlike presence, he broke his nose."
Medusa: "Of course...."
Enter the trail of Maka and Soul.
Soul: "I wish I was at school. Sure as hell beats being here. Wherever this is. It's too....dark for me. Too...uncool."
Maka: "Same here. There is alot of sorrow in the air. I wonder what caused this."
Soul: "C'mon Maka. Let's go!"
Maka: "Right!"
Enter the Southern Tribe.
(Kabuto lies down on a bed)
Kabuto: "After I re cooperate, I'll find those kids who did this...and then I'll explore this amazing world. Good night everyone."
(Kabuto blows out a candle, illuminating the light which shines on blood everywhere. The southern water tribe is no more.)

Next time! Chapter 3! Awakening! Maka and soul encounter the dark soul!
