The weird thing is that Naruto is currently like 166cm tall or something. Kishi also indicated in his first sketch that the shorter version is Naruto's mission attire and the second is for when he's in Konoha, i.e. at Ichiraku's. Either it's a retcon or there is more than one timeskip coming. It's possible Naruto might have grown to 173cm since the begin of Part II since he is a teenager though.

First would be end of war(pre-time skip). Second would be the older Naruto (20-ish) so his full adult height.

I agree I think the 5'8" tall Naruto is the current Naruto, don't forget he is taller than Sasuke now. And the taller Naruto obviously in his mid 20's is the 6' one. I think the Uzimachi's kept growing until they were like 24, because Mito was an exceptionally tall woman. And Jeriyah called Kushina a tall woman. Maybe she was taller than or closer to Minato's height than we realize. Anyway she was taller than Naruto when she helped him fight Kurama, by a good 4 or 5 inches. And Minato was only 5'9 13/16". Maybe Kushina was 5'9.5" and still growing. That would have been awkward to be Hokage and have your wife be 5'11". But I don't think Kushina wore shoes very much. To make herself appear shorter, and she probably slouched, and stood with her legs apart, like Naruto. I'm looking forward to this movie, I think Sai will still be taller than Naruto by a good 1 to 3 inches. He will be like Jeriyah. Can't wait to see Kakashi as Hokage.

Sasuke will be shorter than Naruto to keep them like the original Sanin, I think Sasuke is threw growing, and Sakura is threw growing too. Jeriyah was always shorter than Oro until he was like 18 or so. Jeriyah was 6'3" and Orochimaru was 5'8".

And I think the badge he wears on his left arm is a sign to all ninja just who he is, and if they see a ninja with that sign on them, they should run. And it could be a sign of his ninja rank, Jounin Captain of Konoha.
