Ofc he will. I dealt with these stupid reincarnation power-ups, but making Naruto revive in an instant someone who's just used 8th gate? Come on, I hope it's not what happens next chapter.

To be honest, I hate to be one of those guys who just whine without petting the next chapter come. Hopefully Gai's life has only been prolonged for a little while longer.

No, you got it all wrong. He's not a healer. He didn't heal anything nor did he resurrected Gai (he wasn't dead yet !), he simply infused his (ninshuu?) chakra in him, so that he wouldn't exhaust his Chakra completely due to the 8th gate technique, but he's still crippled and with major injuries. That said, I strongly doubt Naruto can restore anything (Minato's arm, or Kakashi's eye). My guess is, he's keeping him alive barely, so that the Slug 5th Hokage or Sakura can heal him afterwards.

If gai completely revives completely, can't that mean that gai can use eighth gates as much as he can and naruto can revive him each time he comes close to death after using it?

I theory, yes, but I don't think so. He's completely disabled physically, almost all his bones are trashed, he's muscles ripped, his blood all over his body… It can't be healed fully I guess and he'll probably never be able to open that much gate if he survives. Not to forget that unless it wasn't for Naruto, he WOULD have died.
