hrm.. your view of the 'devil' and 'jesus' is of the common man. The concept of those 2 symbolic figures goes deeper than a kind-hearted bearded man and a 2-horned goat-headed monster.
Also, there were several religions that mention the exact same story of a figure like Jesus before christianity even existed. Basically every major religion is build on symbolism. Christianity is just one of them. But by categorizing the religious messages with culture and different languages, people look at each religion like it's totally different from each other.
I'm sorry I'd have to disagree with that fact. The story of Jesus was not around before he was born about 2012 years ago (give or take at least 5 years before or after that date). However the cross itself existed before Christianity and before Jesus, because the Romans who were pagan/polythestic believed in different gods. This goes all the way back to Babylon, which is recorded in the bible. They worshipped a pagan trinity in babylon: semaramis, nimrod, and tammuz. When the language was split after God confounded it, all the different nations kept these ancient beliefs with them. The sign of tammuz is the cross where we get the letter 't' from. The t is supposed to represent the male reproductive part which was lost after a certain man killed nimrod and cut him into many parts. The romans are the one who killed him, and its people were always worshiping these types of gods. The story of Jesus you are talking about that existed before Jesus was not him but actually of Tammuz; the son of semaramis and nimrod. Babylon was where all our languages were scattered from (modern day Iraq) by God. The pagans were influenced by the adversary of God, some worshipped the sun the moon and also worshiped the constellations. Now if Jesus is the SUN who rose, then how come the bible records that he rose from the dead AT NIGHT. This completely destroys the idea that Jesus is the SUN. You can also find 1000s of copies of the new testament in greek that do not contradict each other in major facts like these, only in minor word changes. Jesus also is not zeus, in Hebrew his original name is YAHSHUA/YESHUA and not the greek name iesous or Jesus. In the transitioning from Hebrew to the greek language they add a 'us' to the end of a male's name so Yes(h)ua becomes Ies(us)
