the latest anime epesiode showed us that when naruto was in KM he wasnt fast enough to counter the raikages attack so Dodai had to save him mulitple times, however once naruto used SM he was fats and strong enough to counter the raikages finger attack....

Naruto said he was stronger when using Kyuubi Mode. I think it's also evidently clear that KM Naruto is stronger than SM Naruto (however, SM is not obsolete).

naruto seems tougher in Sage Mode (just through observation) however it would make no sense that his Sage Mode be more powerful than his Kyuubi mode as he is now drawing directly from the power of the Nine Tails.

they both have their uses, SM does not deplete naruto's OR the kyuubi's chakra, also he avoided the attacsk due to frog kumite, KM could have dodged using speed, KM however lasts longer and can last more than 2 rasenshurikens.

He used sm because it has better threat perception. You have to consider that the 3rd raikages lightning armor works like ay's in that it amplifies his speed and reaction time. If naruto tried to dodge to early the 3rd would react and change the direction of his hell stab. Sm's threat perception abilities allowed naruto to leave his dodge to the absolute last moment - ensuring he hits and the raikage can't counter.

Both mode has advantages also disadvantages which one is better it's compeletly depend upon the opponents and situvation

he went into sage mode for reaction and counter attacking prowess of frog kumite... km is so fast that naruto still hasnt got it under full control, and also more powerful than he can control still... so he resorted to something he was more comfortable with... even though it was a weaker transformation...
