Hey everyone. I'm going to make an analysis of Naruto sage mode, considering all the feats shown in the manga. This thread is similar to the one I made about Naruto BM, which you can read here, if you want to.
So here it goes.
Power(Ninjutsu)- We saw that sage mode gives the user an immense boost in ninjutsu. This boost enables naruto to create rasengans more powerful and bigger than in his base form. It also enables him to use and throw the futon rasen shuriken without harming him at all, and he can even expand it. Naruto SM can use rasengans, chou oodama rasengans, rasenshuriken, and chou oodama rasen tarengan. All this jutsus are very powerful and some of them have a great destruction radius. Naruto SM can make kage bushins in SM as well, and SM kage bushins are very powerful, reaching kage level and being able to fight with the 3rd raikage. Scans below.
Power(Strength)- Sage mode also gives the user a great taijutsu boost. Naruto SM gains an insane strength, being able to lift and even throw giant stone statues, giant animals and even kurama(kyuubi). He easily stopped animal path's summon who was charging at him. This strength is great, as this feats can't be performed by any regular human or shinobi Scans:
Power(Taijutsu)- As I said, sage mode gives the user a taijutsu boost. Not only the strength is increased, but the speed as well, and with toad sage mode, naruto is able to use frog kata. With frog kata, the SM user is able to extend the range of his atacks by using the natural energy arround him. This can be used to atack with powerful blows, as it was able to one shot one of the 6 paths of pain.
Speed- Just as I said, with SM the user gets a great boost in his speed. This helps a lot in the battle, as speed is one of the main decisive factors. Naruto SM was able to make a rasengan and reach asura path(who was heading really fast towards tsunade), travelling a great distance within few seconds. This also shows naruto's fast reaction. This reaction was shown when naruto fought the 3rd raikage and dodged his atack.
Sensing abilities- Sage mode also allows naruto to sense nature chakra and any other chakra, making him a great sensor shinobi. With SM, naruto can also sense danger, allowin him to dodge from an atack in the last second.
Defense and recovery- Naruto in SM become more resistant to the atacks, and SM makes his recovery from injuries and lack of stamina even faster.
Disadvantages- As we know, there are some disadvantages in using sage mode. Without fusing with Ma and Pa, naruto's SM has a time limit. After losing sage mode, naruto would take a little time to gather natural energy again, giving an opening for his opponent to atack. Gathering too much natural energy would transform naruto into a giant stone frog, killing him. Naruto has trained and improved his SM. He can perfectly balance the natural chakra with his own, not turning into a frog. Naruto has trained to improved his SM's duration, and he can enter it very quickly now. It seems that after SM running out, the user gets exhausted. If naruto uses clones to gather nature energy, the number of clones he can use gets limited.
This is it everyone. A review about SM Naruto. As we saw, naruto SM is very powerful, being in kage level. His powers can maybe get him top 20 or top 25. Mastering SM is very hard, and naruto managed to it perfectly(with fukasaku's help). Naruto SM battled powerful enemies(Pain and 3rd raikage) and even managed to keep up with this enemies, beating them(although he enterd version 2 in his battle with pain).
