Naruto should not become Hokage.. And why the **** would he want to?!

Narutos long dream has been to become Hokage, so that he will be aknowledged by everyone in the village.
He wanted the villagers of konoha to look up to him with respect not think of him as a nuisance.

The day Naruto defeated pain, everyone in Konoha aknowledge him and loves him. He gained more respect then Tsunade ever have. He is more aknowledged and stronger than Tsunade, who is the Hokage.
Hasn`t his dream already comed true then?

I think Naruto is just in love with the idea of being Hokage. He think he can just walk around the village and be
admired. But there is a backside to being Hokage, its a ****ing job. And as with every job, you have gotta work!

Being hokage is mostly a desk job. Accepting propositions, planing construction, your job is to govern!
would that really suit adventures Naruto? no. He is not the type to govern over a village. You need someone smart and patient, like Shukaku. Shukaku would probably do the best job as Hokage.

Naruto would not like the job and he would most likely not be good at it. He should give up this stupid notion...

Being Hokage dosent simply mean doing administration work.......Being a kage also means being the strongest shinobi who guides the other shinobis-THE LEADER. Naruto is already the strongest in Konoha maybe nt the wisest which he has to become yes nd is still too young.
Even if Naruto gets what he wanted-being admired by his villagers nd getting recognition dosent mean that he would leave his long lasting dream-being a hokage which every shinobis wanna become bt only a few can. Protecting Others in the village by being strong is the is the ultimate duty of a hokage which Naruto truly wants nd thats why it is his ambition to become a Hokage 1 day. Also its a matter of respect nd honour among all shinobis of all nations. Every1 looks upon Kages as being the srrongest, the coolest, the tuffest nd look upon them with admiration. The word itself means honour. His father was the Fourth nd he wants to bcome Hokage so that he can be jst like him or surpass him-to proove dat he is no less.

First off... Being a ninja is a job too.
You won't know how Naruto will do if he becomes Hokage, so you can't say that he won't be able to do it.

Naruto has a goal he wants to reach, since the pain arc and that's finding peace. He wants the title so that he can make changes to the ninja system. Being acknowledged was his goal in part 1.

I swear that people are still stuck in the past and forget all about the events up to now. Naruto won't be able to make changes without the title.

Naruto is becoming mature with a slow rate. Even Minato acknowledged him in chapter 643. Naruto is reaching to a maturity level atleast not to Shikaku's or Minato's or other previous Hokage's level of thinking yet. Naruto can change how the system is working in the future by becoming a Hokage. He'll be having more fun becoming a Hokage distributing the duties, appointing deserving candidates to various posts and still creating a nuisance of mature level. I guess that would be interesting to watch rather..
Sasuke becoming the Hokage and living a boring life, weeping and crying in the corner of Hokage's office for the past despair and making others life miserable.

Shikamaru is not interested in becoming a Hokage since he ignored Temari's words most of the time. I guess Naruto will make Shikamaru his right hand man to do the paper work

Well he can, but still he'll be bored for that kind of stuff. I'd like to see a Hokage who lives and enjoys his life with the people of his village rather than signing and stamping a bundle of papers in his office.

At first Naruto wanted to become Hokage in order to be acknowledged by the village, he wanted them to change the way they saw him.

But as Naruto matured the reason for which he wants to become Hokage changed as well, he no longer needs to be acknowledged (he is already known as the savior of Konoha by the whole village, and even by people form other countries) his reason right now is to protect the village and to ensure peace, not only in the village but throughout the ninja world, he wants to change the ninja system, he has the will of fire in him and this is one of the most important thing in order to become a Hokage, to consider the village your family, and for Naruto this is more accurate than you might imagine, as he had no parents to begin with.

Doing paperwork isn't the most important thing, he can have somebody else handle that, it's his ideals that matter, and the fact that right now he is the strongest in the village.

Furthermore, going by lineage he has the right to become Hokage, he is the son of the fourth Hokage, he was trained by Kakashi (son of the White Fang of Konoha, and he was trained by Minato) and Jyraia, one of the 3 Sanins (who trained Minato, and who was trained by the Third).

And last but not least Naruto's ninja way is that he never goes back on his words, and if he said that he will be hokage than that is how it's gonna be.

These things are not considerable except maturity because even Tsunade didn't think of these paperwork things while accepting hokage post. Naruto has got main reason to be Hokage as Itachi said.

He would never make a competent Hokage.
But they are all pathetic.
The 1st let Tobirama walk over him he didnt put the village before his brother becoming a hypocrite.
The 2nd was a jealous oppresive person who was responsible for internal strife because he wanted to carry on the will of his father.
The 3rd didnt have backbone he let Danzo and elders run the village and walk all over him. When he could have made a difference he stayed quiet.
The 4th was an excellent shinobi with 2 jutsu but even he failed his village he did nothing to change the anti uchiha policies which led to todays events. He failed his students what kind of lesson did he teach them.
The 5th I cant say much negative about her.
All in all Hogake are failures when it matters. Naruto shouldnt be there even though he is a failure in some of his qualities. But he stands firm to his commitment unlike the fodder 4.
