If plot-no-jutsu hadn't saved Naruto with this never again seen healing factor from Kurama, Sasuke would have won and Naruto would have been over.

I thought we already established a "kill-shot" and an "uzumaki kill-shot" were different concepts* when Karin survived the same chidori smash, and Kushina was able to have a freaking speech to her son after having a fox's claw ram through her chest... moments after having the beast ripped our of her... moments after* childbirth.

It's been established quite well; UZUMAKI'S DON'T DIE EASILY. Karin: Survives Chidori straight through the chest. Lives long enough for Sakura to heal her wounds. Kushina: Has enough vitality to HAVE KURAMA ripped out of her, then restrain Kurama for Minato's sealing, AND THEN SPEAK TO BABY NARUTO.

Regardless of your opinion, Uzumaki's don't die easy. If you really want "Plot" go back to the Deidara vs Sasuke fight. It was clearly stated Sasuke was out of chakra. The biggest asspull in the series allowed him to summon Manda, which takes far more chakra than Sasuke had at the time (Basically nothing).

Well it's not completely plot... Uzumakis have been known to live through events that would kill others. Karin survived a chidori, Kushina survived an extract and if you wanna count Tsunade (Uzumaki grandmother), her survival speaks for itself. While we haven't gotten much of the Kyuubi's healing factor for Naruto like we did then, it was a factor before and after the chapter. And I believe it was mentioned Naruto slightly deflected the blow, it hit one of his lungs.

But since Naruto is the main character, it's not like something like this would have killed him in the first place since PnJ will always come through for Naruto.

It was plot that Naruto didn't smash sasuke's face with his chakra arm..instead he scratched his headband because sasuke said he wouldn't be able to. Had Naruto been going for the kill he summons gamabunta and enjoys the show U_U

Naruto had no intention to kill in that fight if he did he would just let Kurama take over and no matter the curse mark sasuke would either be dead or vegetable. 2. The Uzumaki's their life force is in-human there are like cockroaches they don't die that easily.
