I made an interesting discovery, that other people have made too, about the commercial showing the characters.

As you know the commercial showed these characters.

Shippuden: Shino, Kiba, Lee, Yamato, Ino, Sakura, Choji, Shikamaru, Danzo, Sai, Tenten, Killer Bee, Hinata, Raikage, Mizukage, Neji, Tsuchikage, Sasuke, Jugo, Karen, Suigetsu, Chiyo, Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, Konan, Kakuzu, Tobi/Madara, Deidara, Kisame, Pain, Sasori, Itachi, Hidan and Naruto.

Naruto: Kankuro, Kidomaru, Temari, Sakon, Gaara, Kimmimaro, Tayuya, Jirobo, Zabuza, Haku, First Hokage, Third Hokage, Second Hokage, Sasuke, Sakura, Shizune, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Young Kakashi, Minato, Obito, Shino, Orochimaru, Adult Kakashi, Hinata, Tenten, Shikamaru, Guy, Neji, Lee, Kurenai, Kiba, Ino, Asuma, Anko, Choji, and Naruto.

Missing from that list of characters are: Darui, C, Kurotsuchi, Akasuchi (Tsuchikage's Bodyguards), who have been confirmed as support-only characters.

So, my discovery is that all the characters in the commercial may be PLAYABLE characters. That would mean that: Anko, Kurenai, and the Sound Four are playable. Possibly Shizune since she was spotted as well.

It's just a theory ,but it's semi-solid.

Where did you see these characters confirmed as support only? Can you provide a link? The thought going around is that they are likely to be support only, but I've yet to see any facts on that matter.

I really hope that fu and torune are at least playable, because we're not gonna see them fight anymore so they won't be playable in storm 3 if they aren't playable in generations

Do you have anything that's in english? It's impossible to know for sure on that site unless you speak Japanese. It does appear that they may be support only and at the moment they've only been confirmed as support only, but I haven't seen anything say these characters are not going to be playable.

Did anyone notice that the playable icon on the Naruto's? The icon is different in the video and in the scan when he's fighting Pain. I think with the 9 tails chakra mode being a transformation there will be two normal Naruto versions that are slightly different.

I was just noting that there were two regular Naruto's with different icons which made me think that we'll likely see two different regular Naruto's in the game. It's definitely good to see that Danzo is confirmed playable.

I always figured he would be in, since the Kage Summit Arc revolves around him and Sasuke.

Now, the only characters we need confirmed playable are the Sound Four, Anko, and Kurenai >.<

Naruto Generations Danzo, Hiruzen Confirmed in New Scan:

A brand new scan of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations has been released! It confirms Danzo Shimura and the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi as playable characters! Danzo is making his first appearance in a Storm game and as you can see, his arm is full of Sharingans! While we don’t know how they will be utilized in the game, our guess is they will be either part of his awakening or ultimate jutsu, if not both. Hiruzen was last seen in Ultimate Ninja Storm 1, but he seems to be the exact same based on the scan. Additionally, if you look at the image within the san, Torune and Fu have been confirmed as support characters! CyberConnect2 has stated the game will contain some characters that are support only, so our guess is that is all they will remain as.

In the image at the bottom of the scan Naruto is hitting pain with a Rasengan. If you take notice, above Pain’s health bar is the Internet connectivity icon meaning that screenshot is of the game being played online.

Naruto Generations Naruto vs Orochimaru, Itachi Gameplay:

YouTube user tellag91 has uploaded a brand new video of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations! It features footage from Jump Festa 2012 in which a Naruto takes on Orochimaru in one match and Naruto takes on Itachi in the other. By the looks of it, the battle with Orochimaru is taking place outside of Orochimaru’s hideout (the place where Naruto first met Sasuke in Shippuden) and outside of the Uchiha hideout (where Sasuke and Itachi fought).
