Naruto Shippuden latest anime episode ?

Right so as most of those who watch the anime know, the latest episode featured some kind of a "filler" flashback about the history of Izanami and Izanagi dating back to clan times in the ninja world.

The problem and my question is that the uchiha clan members are shown wearing konoha headbands.
How is this possible ? Isn't the time supposed to be way more back ? I mean they didn't even look like they were fighting other village shinobi. The enemies looked Senju(because of that characteristic armour) or from any other clan.
Am I missing something or what ?

Yeah that one buffles me too =D
But I guess it was for the sake of the explanation.
Anyways I think that the thing with the headbands was probably just a mistake by the animators...Just wanted to confirm it :eww:

and addition to your question..as far as i remember madara and izuna are the first who awakened mangekyou sharingan..but from what i've seen the latest episode the uchiha who use izanagi and izanami have mangekyou awakened..

Uchiha v Senju depicted in todays filler had been going on for ages. Both were heaps strong. Ultimately, uchiha bowed down and joined hands with the Senju

The uchiha wore armor similar to that as well so it didn't have to be the senju per'say although that style of armor pretty much disappeared once shinobi became the dominant power after replacing samurai,so i can see the confusion.

It was most likely among other things in this episode a screw on the animators part.
I have started to think that the animators are tolling by this point.I mean come on,we read it and can point this stuff out within mere seconds.These niggas draw and design this show based off its source material and have post prodcution time
to sort out mistakes.They above all people should know the ins & outs of this manga if not at first then at least by now.

Unless the uchiha somehow were apart of Konohagakure before it was formed.
