If anything the anime is failing because of the barrage of fillers, fillers that ain't needed as the series has ended

The series is over, Shippuden ended with chapter 700 and Naruto Gaiden ended weeks ago. As for animation its Japanese style for Japanese audience it was never intended for outside non Japanese vier. Just like some western and especially American animation style is not like in the orient and vise versa. Its Japanese Audiences that the animators must please sines they pay the bills.

Yes, the fillers are boring right now. In a way, I think the release of The Last and the Boruto movie made the anime irrelevant.

Ideally, the anime should have finished before a next gen movie was released.

its because the animation sucks in about half the episodes. the other half are unnecessary filler. animation isnt quite as bad as a certain pain related scene, but it still looks awful.
