Sp never ceases to amaze me. Once again, they rush a good novel. Same thing happened in the Itachi novels... they left out so many details... i kinda knew this was going to happen. Still was a pretty entertaining episode though.

Honestly, this reminds me so much of the early Shippuden. Older characters, side characters get actual screen time, more focus on missions... It's looking really good!

(And yeah, Sasuke's design is way better here than in The Last.)

now that you bring it up, I do sense an early shippuden feel. It was also back then that the animation used to be consistently good kinda like now, which is actually even better now imo. And yes I like the inclusion of the other characters as well. And the fact that it got a little more gory by recent shippuden standards.
