Eh, it was ok. This fight was never my favorite in the manga so I pretty much feel the same way now while watching it in the anime. In short, the writing weaknesses just can't be fixed.

Other than that, I expected the artwork to be a lot better since we're so close to the end. I expect the Naruto vs Sasuke fight will be top quality though so maybe they're just reserving the budget for that.

Btw did anyone else think this fight was gonna be a lot faster paced? Seemed kinda slow to me.

While the animation was overall lower quality and the directing was sloppy, the final moments when Kakashi looks at them was really well done and the part when they swap I believe wasn't in the manga (correct me if I'm wrong) so that's a nice detail. These were the 2 highlights of the episode.

3.5/5 for me, wonder how far the next one will go. We may not get to Revolution just yet. :wut:

Nope the Naruto and Sasuke fight is confirmed to Have excellent animation by the studio , so don't worry about that

I doubt it'll reach my expectation if anything, but i'll still watch because i was a fan of the series for 14 years. I supported it how ever i could, that's why the ending wasn't even close on satisfying me.

Sasuke's revolution is after next week , next week's episode will end when Minato says goodbye to naruto

Most wooden animation I've ever seen, plus holy crap was that slow for a fight with the strongest being. Not surprised since this is Pierrot, but still extremely disappointing end to Kaguya.

Last hope lies with Naruto vs Sasuke, so if Madhouse wants to take over just for that it'd be great.

Can I be honest? This battle kind of sucked. The battle between Naruto and Sasuke when they first started Naruto was a hell of a lot better than this one. Not to mention the filler where Kakashi-sensei uses Raikiri, and moves so fast he can't evade any attack, did so much better than this. I mean I hope she's sealed after this and a better fight comes up like Naruto vs. Sasuke for the Hokage title.

Flashbacks play to the emotion feel of the story and ending without it it would just be action and no story....Loved the episode can't wait for next weeks.

Why are you ignoring episode 463??? It had excellent animation plus all kaguya arc canon episodes had decent and more than decent animation , its only this episode so let it slip through

they really ****ed that episode up, should have gotten the chikara guy to do it. They animated the ice dimension fight really well, this was the most exciting part of the Kaguya battle and they made it look slow and boring. Like damn the giant rabbit monster wasn't nearly as cool as I would have hoped it would but, the director had no idea what he was doing, no atmosphere, no fluidity. What a waste of an opportunity to end the Kaguya arc with a bang, eventually was fine up until this point

The animation was all over the place because there were 3 different animators in this episode.

I did not like how there were so many still shots of unstable Ten Tails Kaguya and Kakashi PS. Though, Kakashi's PS was drawn really good, it just looks weird because nothing on it moved while it was in air (like its wings when it is hovering in mid-air).

The Super Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken looked really good.

Next episode looks like we go back to great animation and with next episode having Masahiko Murata as the episode director and storyboard, it should be good.

I agree on 3/5, it was a decent episode but it should have been a great one given it's the end of the Kaguya fight and simultaneously the end of the entire Akatsuki conspiracy that has lasted since the beginning of Shippuden. The unstable Juubi and Kakashi's Susanoo were some of the coolest parts of the fight and they deserved better animation than this.
