Naruto Shippuden Episode 469 "A Special Mission" Discussion

I really love the decision to put this episode about Team 7 bonding with Kakashi in this arc. It's timed so that when we return to canon, it makes Kakashi's development / arc during the Kaguya fight hit home a lot harder. He's the main POV character for quite a few of the Kaguya chapters, and it really sets it up well for these pages:

Wow, that part1 magic. While not as good as the first time we saw them try to do this, actually seeing Kakashi unmasked was awesome and the whole thing was pretty hilarious. Heck, they even gave us a wink at the second mask from part 1!

5/5 easily.

So Kakashi was shown without his Sharingan in both the one-shot and anime. Cool, 4/5 because of this mistake. Otherwise, it was a good, chilling episode with many, many nostalgic moments.

You make a good point here. It is filler of sorts, but at least the bulk of the episode was canon and the filler bits fit quite well. As a whole a great and nostalgic episode for sure. It definitely brought me back to the days when I use to watch Naruto on Toonami.

And my fav Kakashi....finally got to see his face. All an all 4/5....would have given it a 5...but they didn't draw his friggin Sharingan when he removed his mask. That is kind of a lazy mess up. Did they not have time to go back and correct it before the episode was aired or is everyone at SP so burnt out that they just don't bother going back to fix things like this?

Either way great episode
