It was never stated in the manga thats a mangekyou NEVER . As long as it wasn't said don't take it as a fact .

Call it a guilty please, but I am so loving this back-story arc. If it was made as an extended spin-off, I wouldn't hesitate to watch it for sure!
I'm actually hyped for next week's episode, and I honestly can't remember the last time I was hyped for anything when it comes to the anime. Good job!

ikr! i was really hoping they would do smth like this back when i read the manga and i'm happy that they delivered and that it's been pretty satisfying thus far

Hey, this was a really nice episode tbh. Not mindblowing in terms of art/animation but it didn't look like crap either and granted, the action in the episode was minimal so it's fine.

I liked how ashura has his own way of solving problems by even taking into account the fact that he couldn't destroy the tree. It really shows his caring side and well, I can definitely see why naruto is his reincanation now.

The only questionable things of the episode to me was when ashura used what looked like a rasengan (it wasn't specifically stated that it was but come on, it looked just like it). The problem in that is that I believe it was established that minato created this jutsu so how could someone use it years before him? Again, this is only a slight nitpick and I'm ok with it considering it's not stated that it's a rasengan but still, kinda odd.

Overall, a solid 4/5

I don't think they meant to make it look like one but yea they kinda did lol. I don't think it's supposed to be a Rasengan tho.
