Lol that's what I call straightforward XD It was good, what I liked most was the building up of naruto's emotions.

OT: That was a pretty good episode. Not much happened in terms of the plot moving forward and there was little action. However, it was nice to take a break from the main battle and see what was going on elsewhere.

I realise the placement of flashbacks in this episode was perfect because it correlated so well with the current situations. I remember reading the flashbacks in the manga and wasn’t too impressed with it. I didn’t feel that way in the anime, though. One possible reason is the great choice and placement of OSTs, which enhanced the emotional atmosphere throughout the entire episode. There was too much feels when I saw Naruto’s thoughts running wild in everyone’s mind -_-

LOL at fodder shinobi talking back to Hashirama. Like, really? One random fodder thought it wouldn't be completely insane to think that he deserved to interrupt the First Hokage's words to get his feelings across. Pretty ridiculous.

Animation wasn't the worst, but that's not much to say with this anime. A lot of filler dialogue, still and/or repeated frames, and odd pacing. Just another meh episode.

The animators could have done a nice job if they had shown some flashy images of Naruto's past before they understand that they connected to Naruto's feeling.

Honestly this episode sucked.

Way too much talking and way too much flashback. Like how can you even do this to a show? One week its decent and the next its just boring af? I suspect it's because they only have good animation every two episodes so they made a bs tnj episode to stall for the next one. I mean, how is Naruto even out of that much money that they have to lower the quality of the show just to save money?

Literally the only positive thing I got from this was Sasuke's cool slash of the shinju tree, Sasuke going into Sage Susano'o mode and Shikamaru almost dying (it made me think "holy sh*t")

2/5. A waste of time.

Nope, you're getting it wrong.
What I mean is that the flashback which were shown in the episode should have been shown before everyone getting shocked and that too in a flashy blurry image style. And then everyone gets shocked and gets a clear picture of what they are seeing.

Episode 382 - 忍の夢 (Shinobi no Yume)
ENG: "A Shinobi's Dream"
This episode dragged on every moment. Mooo-oove, slooow! You know...
They did this to postpone The Five Kage's arrival at the Battlefield.
Shikamaru is dying? I don't think so.
Orochimaru arrived with Suigetsu and Karin at the Battlefield, but he doesn't seem to be interested in the war. Then what role will have in this war?
Hashirama recalls the first Kage Summit.
Some Kages made their debut in this episode: Second Kazekage and Third Mizukage.
I'm very disappointed that we know nothing at all about the previous Kage (Mizukage, Kazekage, Raikage).
First Raikage, Second Raikage, First Mizukage, Third Mizukage, First Kazekage, Third Kazekage, First Tsuchikage. Unfournately, we won't get the chance to know more about the Kages I just named because the manga will end very soon.

Well I must admit this episode was pretty good. I liked especially the flashbacks and the music which was played in the background. The part which got me emotionally was the death of Naruto's parents as well as couple more flashbacks.
