Decent episode 3/5
I felt the animators were being lazy since they added unecessary flashbacks from a past episode that perfectly demonstrates the pain and suffering Hashirama & Madara had experience through the lost of their loved ones. There is no need to recount that in the current episode for freaking five minutes or whatever because it kinda ruins the emotions that you developed for those particular scenes. It's a bit like how the Kakashi Gaiden flashbacks were played over and over again until you reach a point where you just don't feel anything about Obito's death. When you first saw it, your emotions start pouring out, but as it is shown repeatedly the scene has less and less of an emotional impact. Instead of adding flashbacks from past episode (s), it would have been better to add fillers that have the same meanings or something that elaborate/give further depth to those meanings but all in a different context. That was my main gripe of this episode.
The other is the other part of Hashirama's fight against Madara that we saw in this episode. The anime's adaption of that fight was terrible compared to the manga. It's one of the best fights in the series but unfortunately it does not receive great treatment. I don't feel like elaborating on this too much but in the latest episode, it was boring to see the thousand hands moving on a static, off-screen background. They should have zoomed out and show the full extent of that brutal collision between the mini TBBs and the thousand hands. Also, the mini TBBs appeared to as though pop out of nowhere. There should have been a scene showing how Kurama created that many TBBs in such a short amount of time. I know the manga didn't show this but the anime had the perfect chance to do this to add a little spark to the fight. Not to mention, the animation wasn't even spectacular. It was decent, which isn't doing some justice to a great fight like this one.
