Yep. Next episode preview is a continuation of today's double episode.

Anyways, I thought it was pretty good stuff even though it was filler. The fact that it was a double episode helped too, that first episode went by so fast!

Found it kind of weird how Jiraiya only found out about the "Akatsuki" much later as shown in canon episodes, and that he wasn't able to put two and two together and figure out that the 3 orphans he trained were members of the Akatsuki. Even Kakashi said to Jiraiya that his old students were making moves over in the Rain Village.

Other then that the episodes were pretty good. I noticed there was lots of themes and messages in the episodes... I liked Jiraiya's interaction with the young Kakashi and he dropped a lot of good quotes.

"People should talk to others everyday, even if it's just small talk. Otherwise their hearts will grow dark and serious. Talking to others builds bonds and makes you feel grateful that you're alive. That's the kind of creatures we humans are." - Jiraiya

Kakashi knew about them, but at the time Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato were aiming for peace. Akatsuki was originally aimed for peace without raising arms. It was only because of Danzo's doing that the Akatsuki took another direction. It was also due to the fact that they had disappeared for a while so Jiraya though of all three as deceased.

I wonder what direction the whole manga itself would've taken if Danzo wasn't trying to secretly destroy peace.

"One piece of straw is weak, But when you put three together, it becomes much..."

All pieces collapse simultaneously.

No wonder Konan can see the resemblance between Yahiko and Naruto.

Quite liked the extended scenes with Madara. As well as the ones with the original Akatsuki

I give this episode 4/5

P.S Only reason why I give a 4 is cause there's a recap which we've seen this too many times.

This episode is totally Brilliant, I love the special episode especially given awesome fillers of new plots that were expanded upon the main canon storyline of how these 3 war orphan developed through their trainings, and regroup into Akaski. Lots of stuff that were never occurred in the manga, and I'm totally pleased.

We also see how much a d!ck Danzo is when plotting against the Akaski and how we see him negotiating with Hanzo. At the same time, Obito intel discovered Danzo as the story progressing.

I hate when people start complaining cause fillers are "Boring" and "Waste of time" which is a shame to most people out there because most Naruto Fillers improved the overall story bringing more justice to the anime unlike the manga version.

Obito is a perfect example of how to create an antagonist. He's not crazy and his motives are believable as he's a product of war from his generation. In a way, you almost want him to have his World of Dreams.

Well, I was pleseantly surprised. I was expecting a shit load of recap with the 3 orphans but instead we mostly got new scenes and they blended quite well with the ongoing obito flashback.

I like how you see obito and zetsu hiding in the shadows and witnessing a few key points of the flashbacks.

The animation was obviously not as good as last week but it was above average/pretty good. When I saw the preview for the episode, I was dissapointed because the aniamtion looked quite bad but when I got to see the actual episode, it wasn't that bad :)

I give the episode a 4.9/5

I know most of the double episode is fillers but for once, they actually added to the story. Next week, we should probably get the rest of 607 unless they decide to stick with the orphan flashback. Either way, as long as next week's filler is as good as this one, I'm totally fine with it.

I'm doubting between a 3 and a 4. It wasn't all that special, just ok imo. But I did like how the anime tried to explain Hanzo's 'betrayal' by adding Danzo into the mix. It's believable so kudos to them.

9/10. I freaking loved this.

The filler was brilliant. The problem with the Obito flashback in the manga is that it didn't properly end it just skipped straight from his 1st meeting with Nagato to a recap of Kurama's Attack on Konoha. Here we're actually getting answers on how Akatsuki was formed and how Obito became leader.

The transition from Obito's regular kid voice and Madara's was executed perfectly. I also liked the Jiraiya and Kakashi scene. It had comedy but really showed Jiraiya's caring, teaching nature and had some great dialogue. It was nice seeing someone being there for Kakashi.

The only part I disliked, and severely at that, was Danzo's role. Hanzo's character was a former hero who fell into pure paranoia as he gained more power, and that's why he feared Akatsuki. It just makes him too sympathetic and makes Danzo too villainous (while he did bad things and wanted Konoha to be superior, he did want peace but here he was purposely instigating war).

Finally, as a proud NagaKona supporter, that scene just made my day.
