The fact that he had his eye back again was due to the effect of the girl's izanami and you don't need senju DNA to cast Izanagi. It DOES HOWEVER lengthen the use of the technique. Danzo used Senju DNA to control the many sharingan imbedded into his arm and to majorly quicken the recovery of Shishui's Koto Amatsukami, which without senju dna would need 10 years like Itachi said.
Eh, Izanagi eyes were never confirmed to be sealed, they just always shut because that's how Kishi chose to depict blindness. True, we've never seen them turn white before closing, but it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for the whiteness to happen gradually compared to Izanami.
At any rate, with Itachi, Kishi probably felt it was more dramatic for the eye to turn white while wide open. Also, Itachi already closes one eye to perform various Mangekyou abilities, so simply closing one eye wouldn't signal the activation of Izanami as clearly to readers.
Kishi would probably have done the same thing if Itachi had used Izanagi, but then the "surprise" factor of the Izanagi jutsu is in learning is been used after the fact at the most dramatic moment, whereas Izanami has a clear starting point followed by build up, culminating in an activation once the technique is complete. Thus, the suspense is all in the signals, so an eye turning white serves his purpose.
It's probably no more complicated than that, and hardly a plothole. If the animators chose Kishi's newer, more distinct and dramatic method of showing Izanagi/Izanami blindness, who can blame them?
The eye clearly shuts when Izanagi is used... Danzo's eyes all of them closed after using Izanagi, and I doubt he was using Amaterasu with all of them (thus, Itachi closing his eyes sometimes has nothing to do with this). Also, when Tobi used Izanagi, he clearly got his eye sealed.
The anime makers finally landed on their previous goof in the earlier episodes!!!
In the manga, when Itachi left naruto and bee, he ended by saying he will stop the edo tensei. But in the anime, he didn't say such. He just up and left without saying where he was headed...
Now at the end of this episode, he ends it by saying he has fulfilled his promise to naruto. What effing promise??? Absolute trolling by the anime makers here if u ask me.![]()

I don't think it is healthy to just pump your enemy's blood so you can get a certain jutsu, it's not like there were a whole bunch of Orochimaru's to do it for you. Curious contradiction, that's all.
