5/5
bad
Onoki: I'm too old. that's why I fail. Come on, you were the last one to fall. the young ones fell before you. it wasn't age
Madara while still a Leaf-nin just attacked some other stone-nin. How did he get away with this? Did he just end talk of Alliance because he didn't like the Hokage?
Hashirama's face: I can't take this seriously. How does grafting yourself with Senju DNA do that? Yeah, I know this show is about a kid a with demon fox in him and another who can shot black fire out of his eye, but I have to draw the line somewhere. I can't take this seriously
Tsunade's cliche speech: let me just repeat about how weak I am because Madara said it a minute ago and viewers forgot. however, then I'll deny the weak part. this will inspire poeple as it has in every story ever told ever
bad title; the will of stone is only the first five minutes
that ending song
good
excellent use of flashback; to inspire Onoki as well as to show us Sasuke's inner self. This is how you use flashbacks. Don't use them for padding. Use them for character development and to let the viewer get into the character's head. This is episode did it awesomely with both Onoki and Sasuke
Sasuke meets Itachi: slow motion and silent. this scene just dragged out the moment for all its dramatic worth
Sasuke's confrontation: wow. I did not it expect it to be that emotional. truly incredible voice acting from the one who did Sasuke
itachi; accepting the blame for Sasuke. In my eyes, this begins Itachi's redemption. while itachi was always on the side of the good guys, I never considered him good (genocide, torturing seven-year-olds, kidnapping jinchuriki). he needs this redemption
awesome music, Itachi's theme was perfect for Sasuke's confrontation. I'd hoped for Sasuke's theme but that would have been so out of place. Itachi's was perfect for the scene
Tsunade's speech: okay there's one part I liked. when she said she wasn't a weak woman, and Mei smiled. that was a good scene. this show does need to have some feminism in it, since Kishimoto rarely develops his female characters.
