4/5 for me. It was great. Animation looked good too.

I was hoping the episode would end with Naruto's arrival at the Third Raikage's battlefield.

I gave it a 2/5 But I feel now maybe that was a bit to harsh and it should have got a 3.


The animation was OK, normally I would complain but my standards of naruto animation have dropped since the last few episodes so I have begun to except this as the animation for normal episodes instead of comparing now to episodes during the 5 kage summit arc.


The episode had its funny moments but the fodders going back and collecting their kunai's and mocking the mizukage did drag out a bit to long but kishi didn't give them much to work on, I guess they wanted to extend this battle scene to an whole episode.

I thought it was pretty good tbh, but the mizukage scenes, with the shinobi not knowing what to do, took a bit to long.
It was funny, but it could have been a bit shorter, or maybe i would just have liked to see the episode last a bit longer. I hoped to see Naruto arrive at the Raikage battleground or to see a tad more of Onoki and Gaara vs the Mizukage.

The mizukage used bubble jutsus, just like Utakata the six tails jinchuriki.
That was great to see.
Apparently he can use several of the Kirigakure clan techniques.

All in all, the animation was better, and the lines and fights were not drawn out that much. 2nd mizu telling the people to go get their weapons again and again, was humorous. The animation for the planetary rasengan was off a bit, but was much better than the mini rsenshuriken, etc.

Simply if they improve each of the episodes animation and stuff by the same amount they did with this episode, then madara vs the kages will look good.

Agreed, but I hope the animation is at least as good as sasuke vs danzo when madara comes and onwards for that matter. But I don't see constant good animation like that happening every week, but as the war continues from here the more serious it gets.

- I hate the thing that whenever they have to use random Ninjas in the background, for the Anime, around 70-80% of the time they use Leaf Ninjas.

That bubble jutsu was not unique to Utakata.
His sensei was able to do it as well.
Its probably a Kirigakure clan jutsu.

I thought the whole mizukage telling them to get their weapons thing wasn't very funny and way too drawn out.
I had another negative comment that I can't remember at this time for some reason... But I agree, i miss the really good animation :c

However on a more positive note, I liked this part too:

I don't know which episode or version are you guys watching but I liked it!

The animation is improved and the writing most especially the much emphasized personality and filler jutsu of the Second Mizukage! Maybe the "Water Balloon Technique" will be used in the NSUNS3 game as the Second Mizukage's basic jutsu.

The bubble jutsu was pretty cool I'm glad they added that. Usually when they add stuff it feels really out of place but that fit in fine. The rest of the filler parts were kind of funny but you could tell they were trying to kill time. When Onoki and Mu fought it felt really slow and dragged out I was hoping that they would add some filler there. They wasted Mu's only opportunity to fight.

The animation was as mediocre as the other recent episode, but I didn't mind too much. Except when you look at the background ninja at one point you can tell that they are all computer animated models they are all stiff and holding their arms out to the side. I'll see if I can upload a picture.

The best part of the episode was the planetary Rasengan scene. It seems like the animators spent more time on that one scene than the rest of the episode. It looked great and fast paced like it was supposed to be. Recent episodes have made all the fighting seem so slow, like Naruto and B vs Nagati and Itachi. Some other cool parts could have been better like Onoki breaking the clam and Onoki vs Mu.

There's still one huge problem. The sand is still green. WHY?!
