Deidara was my favorite Akatsuki member It's nice to see him out and about. Personally I believe that the fillers allow for some more development of more 3rd party characters and allow the story to unfold more whereas sometimes the manga is a bit rushed and to the point.

Agreed. I don't mind these types of fillers, Its nice to see other characters get to do stuff.

So far the fillers are good , its till in the war . But get ready next week is gonna suck hard, back to the village with the moms wtf , when i saw the title at first i thought it would include kibas mom & some other moms in the batlefield, guess not .FAIL !

Wow you're dumb because the war arc ain't kickass at all. And Deidara as usual is the most screwed character by far. And how the freaking HELL is he overrated? He also still has no story developed. Jeez people are such idiots these days.....

Same but they kinda have to, if they ever did a filler arc about the hidden grass village or whatever I would RAGE

I agree episodes like this develop the war more and make it really feel like war. So much was skipped in the manga so we don't really know what everyone else was doing in the war. Like on the first night kishi only showed breif scenes of the white zetsu infiltration and quickly brought naruto to handle everything, it didn't really feel like much of a treat. Now we can see how troublesome the white zetsu night assault was and all the problems they was causing.

Same, I thought it would be in the war not the village, but I guess it will be good to see how the village is coping when everyone is at war

In the manga all we get is Naruto trolling everyone and them skipping over everybody else. It's a joke.

Anyways, actually talking about the episode, for me anyways XD

Such an amazing Naruto episode. Anime is so much better.


Plus, Deidara rules and so does White Zetsu. I like seeing Onoki's granddaughter too. Funny, deep, and just epic war moments/moments in general in this episode.

Err... last week's episode was good. This..was just bad. The only part I thought was funny was when the Zetsu got caught...and they started beating him up. xD it was so random..I felt like I was watching Japanese Family Guy.

yes, the past two episodes have been fillers, BUT episode 280 was AWESOME!!! alot of fighiting n chasing n the music just got u into it

i personally like fillers like this which are related to the storyline , the war saga is a bit boring but it should get better soon with more battles coming up with characters whom we like actually unlike mifune ...i sorta do like kurotshuchi , she's cute, smart and strong.. i like them that way

I wish I could be the head writer of the fillers. If they need a two month break from the canon I could step in and write an incredible arc that wont break the canon but can expand on some of the supporting characters and what they are doing that is contributing to the war. Something like the Guren arc that showed how the three tails was captured. They can take something as small as that and make it into an awesome and deep story.

I think the episode was good, I wasn't that impressed with the drawing in some parts though. I hope they're saving the best drawing and animation for later. But it wasn't that terrible either. I'll give this episode 3/5.
