Naruto Shippuden Ending in the next two weeks?

I read the Anime director doesn't want the Anime to exceed the Manga in chapters. So after these two episodes today next one is suppose to be chapter 699 and finally 700 right? But i know they are making a new Shippuden Opening. Does that means they will animate the novels first and later do chapter 700?

The novel's will be a separate anime

They're probably going to do gaiden next (or god forbid reanimate the last) then the boruto movie and from there follow the boruto manga

Doing so would make far more sense in terms of chronology.

Where have we seen something official that the Gaiden novels will be seperate and not branded with Shippuden's logo? People were saying this way back when we got the Itachi filler arc, that it would be a separate series.

No it's part of shippuden and the new arc starts on October 20th witha new opening
