Graphics doesn't even matter here. What matters is the connection stability and mechanics.

Noone can beat CC2 when it comes to cell-shaded visuals.
youre talking like those assets can't be obtained, not only would it look better but it would cut down production time, so the team can focus on the things you mentioned.

What do you mean by "assets can't be obtained"? My point is that graphics in games like these are of least importance because the better the graphics are the less optimized it will be and considering how terrible Storm 4's online has been I don't want another fiasco in which you have to wait forever for a match up only to have it lag and ultimatively break because it keeps track of 8 people.

u prised the storm series cel shading. Im saying the devs of this game should have used the assets, or to be more specific, character models from the storm series.

freeing them up to work on the game's mechanics itself, instead of dedicating time to the piss poor crap models in the trailer.

You can't just copy another company's work, that'd be a straight up copyright infringement

im sure they can ask permission. It's not like its not the same ip.
It's not the same IP. Just because they're adapting the same property doesn't mean they're the same project. Every game studio has to create their own assets unless they're collaborating with another studio which isn't the case here. Shinobi Striker is a completely different IP from Ultimate Ninja let alone the Storm series in specific.

The only way Team Ninja could get CC2's assets is if they strike a deal with them but since they're doing this solo that's out of question. There is no "hey can I borrow this" in the videogame industry. There is only "collaborate or get sued".
