Chapter 39: Interference
Koichi and the rest of the violet unit make it to the hut within the center of territory with 20 minutes to spare. “First things first, I need to know everybody's full capabilities.” Koichi says.
“What do you mean?” Hime asks.
“I need to know what we have in terms of skill in order to come up with a plan.”
“That's not to reassuring. If we tell you our abilities and how we fight, it could affect us later on in the exams.” Hi says.
“We'll tell you ours first then.” Koichi says. “I was trained by our village's Kazekage and I've learned how to use his sand manipulation techniques, I generally fight close ranged.”
“I'm also a close ranged fighter, I have futton and kenjutsu techniques as well as my sensory abilities.”
“I have my puppetry, genjutsu, and I have some medical training, although in my current condition I wouldn't be much of an asset offensively.”
The three Konoha shinobi are reluctant however they oblige to Koichi's request. “Hime and I both have the Byakugan from our mother's side and clan as well as the gentle fist fighting style. However I'm more in tune with our clan's fighting style then she is.”
“I deal with genjutsu as well, much better then my brother.”
“The Aburame clan deals with our special breed of insects, for multiple purposes both offensively and defensively.”
Koji looks at the three Konoha genin and his glare intensifies rather annoyed. “Jiraiya and Hime also have the ability to use the shadow clone technique and I've heard of the Aburame being able to use their insects for tracking capabilities.” Koji says. The three Konoha genin look surprised at Koji for remembering the encounter and reading their abilities. “We need to know everything if we're going to get through this.” Koji says.
Several minutes pass as the violet unit aquatints themselves with one another. As the bell sounds for the the hour limit, the test begins. Jiraiya, Koichi, Hime, and Ryoko are seen running through the forest as the test officially begins. “There are other teams with sensors, we're going to need a way to block them...Hi!”
Hi stands back at the hut and holds his arms out. Several insects travel from his arms and out into the open area in a perimeter around the base. “I'll use my jamming technique to throw off their sensors at a radius of 2.5km in a semicircle. I'll cover the back with more insects out to 4.5km”
“Ryoko I want you to cover the front more, you'll stay as the first line of defense along with one of Hime's clones. You'll keep your sensory abilities focused from the end of Hi's insects at the 2.5 mark and extend it the rest of the way. The two of you will switch off in order to preserve your chakra. Hi, if you're insects detect anything from where their position is...”
“I'll head out as back up to assist them.” Koji says. “With my arm the way it is now my best bet would be to act as back up and medical support.”
“Alright, I also want you to set up traps Koji, nobody is more skilled then you in that category. Keep them at bay as long as you can and tire them out before they manage to get close enough to get to the scroll.” Koichi says.
“That handles defense, now we move onto the offense.” Jiraiya says.
As The four genin run through the forest, Hime makes 3 clones and Jiraiya makes 4. “We split up into teams of three into each sector meaning we're heading into 3 sectors. I will take two of Jiraiya's clones, Hime you give one clone up to Ryoko like we said and you head out with two of your clones and Jiraiya with two of your clones.”
“Where do we go?”
“It doesn't matter, as long as we stay away from the Red unit.” Koichi says. “Those two teams are a combination I wouldn't risk any of you on. Now, lets do this!” The teams of three split up and Ryoko and one of Hime's clones lag behind and ready their positions in their sector.
~Orange Unit's Sector~
“Mika-san, I sense a strange chakra about 2km south west.”
“Strange how?”
“I can't put my finger on it, it's definitely not normal chakra.”
“What is it?” Koga asks.
“Kou senses somebody's chakra signature back near where we entered.” Mika says. “I'll go and check it out.”
“I'll go with you.” Koga says. “I have a more sensitive sense of touch, I can feel vibrations around the area better. Masaomi I'm leaving you in charge while we're gone. We're going to play the defense for the night and work on our strategy for the other teams in the morrow, until then we need to keep all the teams at bay.”
Mika and Koga head on out south west of their position, while Masaomi and the others remain around the hut and prepare themselves for the night.
The thickness of the trees' bushels block out the moons light as Shinji travels through, his curse seal covering his entire body allowing him to blend in. He walks twirling a kunai in his finger humming. Just then three kunai strike him in his back and he stumbles forward. Shinji turns and looks at three shinobi waring Kirigakure headbands.
“Who the hell is this guy? He's not one of them shinobi on this unit.” one of them says.
“Sorry to disappoint but I'm not the one you're looking for. I'll be out of your hair in a minute I'm only looking for one person, you can continue with your exams after I deal with them.”
“This guy's chakra....it's...it's inhuman!” The sensor says completely horrified.
“Look you guys are shinobi you can't get frightened so easily, I'm not going to hurt you as long as you stay out of my way...look, just hide out here until I'm done and...” Shinji stops in the middle of his sentence and he leaps up as a kunai falls and explodes. The Kiri shinobi are blown back and Shinji stands atop a tree. “Never thought my pray would come to me willingly.”
Koga and Mika stand looking up at Shinji. “Who the hell are you?” Mika says demanding.
“Stay away from him!” The sensor yells. Shinji turns his head over to the Kiri genin and his face is blank but annoyed. “This guy's chakra is ridiculous! It's not human we need to run and get the proctors!”
“No way am I letting anybody esca—” Mika begins but Koga puts his hand on her shoulder and shakes his head. He looks at Shinji and she does the same, his eyes are pure evil in it's intent as he looks at the genin.
“That is no ordinary shinobi.” Koga says. “And judging from what he just said, he's looking for either you or I.”
The Kiri shinobi begin to flea in fear of the shinobi. “I didn't take into account you'd try to rat me out, now I have to kill you.” The shinobi claps his hands together and places his hand on the tree. “Mokuton.”
As he utters those words, Mika's eyes widen. Just after the shinobi places his hand on the tree the roots of the tree become bigger to the point the partially surface from the earth and they launch up in several spikes impaling the shinobi at a lightning fast rate, killing them instantly. “No...how could he...”
“Mokuton (Wood Style)...that ability, isn't that the ability of your village's Shodaime Hokage?!” Koga says with shock.
Shinji turns his attention back to Mika and Koga. He drops from the tree and smiles “Mika Yuhi...” Shinji says. Koga widens his eyes and with great reflexes he whips out several shuriken towards the shinobi and makes quick seals.
“Shuriken Kage Bushin no jutsu!” Suddenly Koga's shuriken multiply into several hundred shuriken. Shinji places his hand on the ground and rises a large wall of wood in front of him that protects him from the technique.
“Run!” Koga orders and with reluctance Mika does so.
“Not so fast.” Shinji says dropping his shield and making a flurry of seals. Koga makes the rat seal and just as he does several leaves begin to surround him in a large vortex.
“Genjutsu huh?” Shinji makes the tiger seal and releases the low level technique only to find Koga in front of him. Koga launches a kunai into his chest right in his heart and the shinobi begins to bleed. Shinji grabs Koga's arm and pulls the kunai out. His chest begins to regenerate and the wound completely disappears. “Not going to work.” He slashes Koga across the neck however, he disappears in a cloud of smoke revealing a shadow clone. Several ropes drop down from below and wrap around him. Koga leaps down in front of the shinobi and Shinji smiles. “Not bad, not bad at all, use a shadow clone, and hide yourself to set up a trap.” He looks around and sees the several explosive tags linked to the wires. “Are a pretty good trap at that, but I have clones of my own too.”
“Ahh!” Koga hears Mika's scream and he turns in her direction.
“Damn it! I didn't even—”
“Eyes on me buddy.” Koga turns around and sees Shinji out of the tangle of wires without the trap being disturbed at that. A black shell of what appears to be Shinji remains in his stead. Koga leaps back away from Shinji however the shinobi appears in front of him. “Not fast enough.” Koga's eyes widen and the shinobi shoots his hand straight for Koga. Koga pushes Shinji's hand away from his chest and it hits and drives right through his left shoulder. Koga lands and drops to his knee in pain.
“Damn...you.”
“Look kid, I would've let you go but something tells me if you do, the Hokage or somebody's going to be told and that's just going to create a mess of problems for me so I'm going to have to kill you...it'd be safe if I killed the rest of this unit as well so there's no suspicion until I'm well enough away from here.”
“Like I'd let you.”
“Like you could stop me.” Shinji laughs. Suddenly Shinji finds a fist planted in his face and he's knocked several meters back and through a tree as Koichi appears before Koga.
“Maybe not him, but I'm going to tear you to shreds!” Koichi says. Shinji stands up pushing the branches off his body. He looks at Koichi rather annoyed as he wipes the blood from his mouth.
“I remember you, you were one of those kids with those two Suna shinobi a while back.”
“Koichi what are you doing here?” Koga says although a hint of scorn is within his voice.
“I was going to settle the score by taking your flags but this is more important.”
“This guy is out of your league, he—”
“I've seen him before, he was with those guys who attacked Konoha and Sunagakure a while back. I know he's dangerous.”
Shinji stands up completely and cracks his neck. He then rushes Koichi with anger in his eyes. “Then why aren't you running!”
Koichi smiles. “Because I have a plan.” Jiraiya drops down from above at a fast rate, intercepting Shinji and he does a double palm strike to his side causing him to stumble and fall over sideways.
Shinji gets up and he has a strange feeling causing him to widen his eyes. “My chakra.”
“I cut it off completely. You can't mold or even use your chakra for anything basic.” Jiraiya says.
“You little brats...”
“Now I'm going to kick your ass myself.” Koichi says.
Shinji begins to chuckle causing the genin to become confused. “This was fun but I really have a deadline to meet so yeah...” Shinji gently taps his left shoulder and Jiraiya widens his eyes as he looks upon Shinji's chakra to see the flow reestablished.
“His chakra network is back on line but he only tapped his shoulder, no chakra or anything.”
“Ancient form of neural fighting, it's actually where your clan's style came from ironically, go figure. Now...” He makes the ram seal and suddenly a seal appears underneath the feet of all the genin, including Jiraiya's other clone hidden in the tree. The shinobi fall paralyzed to the ground and Jiraiya's clones disperse. “Oh so these were clones too. The day I'm defeated by a bunch of genin brats is the day hell freezes over.”
Just then Shinji's wood clone comes into view holding an unconscious Mika. “Ah, well it looks like my calling is here.” The clone places Mika up against a tree and looks at Shinji. “Get rid of them quick.”
“You said the day you get beat by a genin is the day hell freezes over right?” Shinji looks at his clone and then his look goes south realizing that it's not his clone. A cloud of smoke bursts up around the clone and it reveals Naruto. “What about the Hokage.” Naruto says staring angrily at the shinobi.
“Hmm, now that I think about it, it wouldn't be the best time for me to fight against one of the five Kage.”
“Now that you've come in here, interrupting my exams, you don't have much of a choice!” Naruto makes a Rasengan in his hand and darts towards the shinobi with amazing speed. Shinji smiles and suddenly Koichi stands in between Naruto and the Oto shinobi. Naruto stops an inch from Koichi's face and backs up. Koichi, not free at will follows Naruto and gets close fast. “I know you don't want another dead genin on your hands Hokage-sama!” Naruto notices a tag on Koichi's shoulder towards the back and Koichi splits up and runs towards Koga. “But I'm not sure how you feel about 2!” Shinji yells with cynical laughter.
The bomb begins to spark and the moment Naruto lands on his feet away from the genin a huge explosion happens...
Naruto stands atop a tree with Koichi and Koga in between his arms and Mika sitting up against a tree. Naruto looks and notices Shinji is nowhere in sight. Naruto closes his eyes and takes a deep breath a small second later he opens his eyes and he's in sage mode. Naruto turns his head scouring the area. *I can't sense his chakra anywhere* Naruto activates his Kyuubi mode and begins to sense out for the evil intent. *He's out of the village, that speed is irregular, it has to be Jikukan (Space-Time).* “Ay, you guys alright?” Naruto asks.
Koichi stares in awe at the magnificence of Naruto's speed and amazing power but quickly snaps out of it. “Yeah, I'm fine, but Koga is...”
“I'll be fine, don't stop these exams.”
“I'll have a medic visit you to make sure everything's in order and I won't mess with the exams. You...Koichi I think it was. You can head on your way but out of this territory.”
“Yes sir.” Koichi gets up and he makes his way out of the territory. He meets back up with the real Jiraiya and his clones after several minutes.
“I noticed my clones with you had disappeared, what happened?” Jiraiya asked.
“A rouge shinobi found his way into Konoha and interfered with the exams but your father stepped in and handled it, but the Orange unit is off limits.”
“My father?”
“It's nothing to worry about now, you can ask him later but now we need to continue onwards.” Koichi says. Jiraiya nods and Koichi joins Jiraiya's team. “Jiraiya...your dad is incredible.”
~Several Kilometers outside Konoha~
Shinji appears on the outskirts of Konoha, half his body melded with a tree and he holds a crystal ball looking down at Naruto standing beside a medic still beside Koga and Mika. “Such amazing speed, well past that of any shinobi before him. To be able to strip him of the tag and get all three of them out of range....well played Hokage-sama...well played.” Shinji smiles cynically as he melds the rest of his body into the tree and disappears.

I'm doing a double release today, so you guys get chapter 39 and 40 today 
Chapter 40 should be before midnight for me (aproximately hour and 10minutes). Tell me what you liked/disliked think I did well on, not so well on, etc...To all those who read/comment/rep this post I thank you, enjoy
