Chapter 13: Gaara vs. Shukaku
“Well if it ain't my last little brat huh?!!” Shukaku says facing Gaara. “How the hell are you still alive kid?!”
“You're going to stop this now.” Gaara says in his natural tone, looking directly into the dark eyes of the demon.
“Oh really?! And I suppose you think you can stop me huh?!” The drunkard bellows. “Imputation brat! Don't forget who gave you your power!” The Shukaku wails as he extends his tail straight towards Gaara.
Gaara holds out his hands and sends a large wave of sand to intercept Shukaku's tail. As the tail makes contact with the sand it fends off the Bijuu's attack. Gaara's face lights up with surprise as his sand suddenly begins to fall and the Ichibi's tail continues on towards him. Gaara leaps up as the tail goes through his sand platform. Gaara attempts to make another platform, however the sand disperses and begins to head to Shukaku's tail and it becomes a part of him. Gaara begins to fall and he pulls out a chain, and launches it towards a pole atop a tower. He swings around and lands on the front of the tower and holds himself up using his chakra.
“*Even fused with my own chakra, he can still manipulate my sand with ease*” Gaara thinks to himself. Gaara looks and sees Ichigo atop of Shukaku's head, still unconscious and slowly sinking into a void into the Ichibi's head. “*If Ichigo sinks completely into Shukaku, he'll die and Shukaku will be able to use his powers to the fullest.*”
“WAAAHOOO! Don't take your eyes off me boy!” Shukaku says, sending several hundred spikes of sand needles towards Gaara from his tail.
Gaara's eyes widen as the needles head towards him. Gaara quickly drops a gold yellow scroll from his left sleeve and he unravels it, whipping it up in front of him. As he does so the seal in the center of the scroll activates and a large mass of sparkling dust appears in front of Gaara. The needles of sand make contact with the dust and when they do the sand particles begin to disperse and fall down.
“EHHH?! What the hell?! Where did you get that from?!” Shukaku yells in anger, recognizing the gold dust of Yondaime Kazekage.
Gaara kicks off the tower he's on and leaps up onto the very tip, which brings him high enough again to Shukaku's eye level. Gaara holds the scroll around his shoulder and hanging down his right arm.
“*I haven't had much practice with this, not even sure if I can use it.*” Gaara thinks to himself.
“I'll still kill you BRAT!” Shukaku bellows. Shukaku begins to inhale and the force of the sucking winds begin to pull everything in front of Shukaku in, like a vortex.
Gaara begins to slide more towards Shukaku, trying to maintain his grip on the ground with his chakra. At that moment a chain is wrapped around Gaara and he looks down to see several of his Suna shinobi holding him. Several other shinobi begin tossing chains around Shukaku to try and restrain him.
“Kazekage-sama! We have you.” A shinobi says.
“WAAAHOOO you're all so pathetic.” The Ichibi says stopping his inhalation. He then begins to exhale and a huge wind wave shoots out towards Gaara, his shinobi and the rest of the village.
Gaara makes a few seals and a huge amount of gold dust exits the scroll and it manifests into a large wall. As the wind makes contact, the wall provides a layer of protection, but not nearly enough for the hurricane like winds to be rendered completely useless. The winds eventually break through and the dust disperses and the cloud of wind destroys several building and sends several shinobi hurdling back, including Gaara.
“Kazekage-sama!” Several of the shinobi yell in fright. They see their leader thrown back several meters into he goes into a wall. As soon as Gaara's body hits the wall it completely shatters over top of him.
“WAHOO I killed him, I really killed him!”
The shinobi stood in horror as the rubble doesn't move and their leader doesn't emerge. Shukaku begins whipping his tail back and forth, demolishing buildings and absorbing the sand. By this point Ichigo's body is buried up to his shoulders, still unconscious.
“I...I can't believe it...Gaara-sama has been...” One shinobi says, wide eyed with horror, staring at the collapsed building.
“Gaara-sama!” Another cries.
“That's enough everybody!” Matsuri says to her men. “It's up to us to avenge Gaara by stopping this monster once in for all.”
“Matsuri-sama, how are we supposed to defeat that thing? Even if we somehow manage to restrain it, Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari-sama are the only people who know the sealing jutsu.” One of the shinobi says.
“Ichigo is still the medium, the seal is close to breaking so that just means we have to wake him up before he sinks in and dies.” Matsuri says.
“How are we going to get close to that thing? Gaara-sama couldn't even--”
“Enough!” A voice cuts off one of the shinobi. As they turn they see Gaara standing atop the rubble, panting as he pushes away another slab of wall.
“*Gaara-kun...I knew you wouldn't go down that easy.*” Matsuri thinks.
“Gaara-sama, you're alive.” A shinobi yells with relief, wiping the tears from his eyes.
“We need to wake Ichigo fast before the seal is broken.” Gaara warns.
“Gaara-sama I can sense his chakra, he's been put under a strong genjutsu.” A sensor says.
“I need you all to follow my lead, we only have one shot at this. I'll pose the distraction, Matsuri-chan, you and your forces need to get behind Shukaku and free Ichigo from the genjutsu. If you fail then there is no winning against Shukaku, my father's gold dust is limited now I only have a small amount left.” Gaara orders. The platoon of shinobi nod their heads and Gaara looks at Matsuri. Matsuri smiles back at Gaara and nods her head as well. He leaps up onto another building and faces Shukaku.
“HMM?! Wait a minute I killed you!”
“Not yet you haven't.” Gaara says.
~Outside Suna~
The destruction of the Suna can be heard from just outside the village.“How long is Kabuto going to take?” Sasuke complains.
“It should only be a moment now, his only desire was to release the Ichibi.” Shinji says. “We should be out of here in no time.”
“I beg to differ.” A voice says from behind the three shinobi. The three shinobi turn and see Kankuro and Temari standing standing before them, while the three genin stay behind. As Kankuro and Temari see Sasuke standing alongside the other shinobi their eyes widen as they realize his escape from Konoha.
As Koichi, Koji and Ryoko begin to move forward next to the two Suna jounin, Kankuro holds his hand out, stopping them.
“I want the three of you to run as far away from here as possible, do you understand?” Kankuro says darkly.
“No way, we're not letting you--”
“This is not a god damn game!” Kankuro yells as he turns back to his students. His eyes wide with a melody of emotions, but all of which hold the greatest seriousness. He turns back around and faces Sasuke and the others. “There's no guarantee that we're even going to make it out alive.”
The three genin are in a state of shock as they hear their sensei even more serious then he's ever been.
“Kankuro, Temari.” Sasuke says plainly as he walks in front of the two shinobi. Temari takes out her fan while Kankuro releases Crow, using his animation jutsu and also his Sasori puppet. “I have no problems with you or Suna so long as you don't antagonize me.”
“We're not letting you on any further” Temari says. Sasuke squints his eyes, but before he acts, Shinji and Ushiro dash out towards Kankuro and Temari.
Temari waves her fan and a large gust of wind hits the two shinobi. Ushiro gets in front of Shinji and hold his hands out. Extensions of his skin appear and form a wall blocking them from the slicing winds. Shinji appears to the left of Temari with great speed and proceeds to strike, but Crow intercepts and blocks his strike. Kankuro maneuvers Sasori behind Ushiro and has him extend one of his blades from his right arm and tries to strike. Ushiro's skin hardens like scales and it shatters the blade. He swings back, retracting his wall and tries to hit the puppet but Kankuro moves Sasori out of range of the attack.
At that moment Sasuke appears behind Kankuro. “I don't have time for this.” Sasuke says from behind. Sasuke drops his katana down from his sleeve and proceeds to stab Kankuro. “Hm?” Sasuke stabs Kankuro, but it misses his heart, which was the intended target. Sasuke notices a puppet to his side with it hand on his arm. Sasuke shifts his head slightly behind him and looks at Koji, who controls the strings. “A bug.” Sasuke says referring to Koji. He releases his blade from Kankuro and Kankuro falls to the ground.
“Kankuro!” Temari yells in fright.
“Focus on me my dear!” Ushiro says as he as he appears in front of Temari. He goes to strike and she leaps back away from the shinobi.
Koichi appears to Sasuke's blind side and attempts to strike hime, while Ryoko runs with her blade.
“Koichi, Ryoko wait!” Koji says frantically. With virtually no effort at all, Sasuke grabs Koichi's arm and blocks Ryoko's blade with his own. He whips Koichi around into Ryoko, knocking them both onto the ground hard, knocking the wind out of them both.
“Pathetic, not even worth living.” Sasuke says. As Koichi is layered over top of Ryoko, Sasuke takes his blade and stabs down into both of them. Koji's eyes widen in grim horror as his brother and teammate are struck down dead within seconds.
“NO!!” He cries out as the pool off blood begins to mix in with the sand. Koji drops to his knees and begins to cry, punching his hand into the ground.
“You're pathetic, I leave you alive out of pity and nothing more. You'll understand how it feels to be helpless--”
“Release!” Koji cries and he suddenly finds himself standing next to Koichi and Ryoko. His face red with tears and his body trembling viciously with shock.
“*So he knew...he figured it was an illusion rather easily but he was in too much of a shock to actually release it until now...My powers are so restricted with this damn seal, but still.*” Sasuke thinks to himself. “You're an interesting one.” Sasuke says.
The illusion placed on Koji was for a mere few seconds, Koichi and Ryoko are completely unaware of what goes on. One second they Sasuke turn his head towards Koji the next, Koji is breaking out into a tears.
“Hey, Koji what's going on?!” Koji drops to his knees and falls down and Ryoko catches him. “Koji! Koji!” Koichi turns to Sasuke and looks with anger, he proceeds to take a step but he feels a tug on his leg and looks down to see Koji.
“Koichi...please don't.” Koji says with great fear.
“The trauma caused was physically exhausting to you, the feeling of helplessness...you can't shake it off, even now.” Sasuke says.
Ryoko looks at icy cold figure of Sasuke and turns to Koji who pants heavily, barely staying awake and tears still falling down his face. “*What did he do to you?*” She thinks sympathetically.
“Now, now aren't we busy.” A voice says. Kabuto appears from the sand and Shinji and Ushiro fall back to him. The other three shinobi of the Sound Five are also with Kabuto. “Sasuke-kun, we need to go now.” Kabuto says.
Sasuke walks over an unconscious Kankuro and towards Kabuto. Temari heads to Kankuro and sees that he's lost a lot of blood.
“Sorry Temari-chan we can't stick around. I get back to Suna soon, Gaara-kun needs your help...see ya.” Kabuto says mockingly as he and the other shinobi disappear into a flames. Temari looks at her brother and then at the genin and she pulls herself together.
She quickly pulls out some medical supplies and bandages Kankuro's wound and she seals his puppets back into their scrolls. “We don't have time to waste. Carry Koji and lets get going we need to get back to the village.”
The group continues on towards the village to assist Gaara.
~In Suna~
Gaara and the Ichibi continue butting heads between sand and gold dust. The Shukaku utilizes his wind attacks to combat Gaara's dust, while he uses his sand to follow through while the defense are down. The platoon of shinobi rear from behind in an attempt to get on top of Shukaku.They begin running up the base of Shukaku's tail and up towards Ichigo, who's neck is left above the quicksand.
“I ain't no idiot!” Shukaku says as he whips off the platoon of shinobi off of his back. However from the few building still remaining, Matsuri and a few of the other shinobi from the platoon hid and as Shukaku whipped them off they leap onto his side and begin scaling up him.
“We're almost there!” Matsuri says. Inches away from Ichigo, suddenly she and the rest of the shinobi are frozen and they notice that they're constricted by manipulated sand which binds them.
“I told you, I ain't stupid!”
Ichigo's head begins to sink into Shukaku Gaara's expression intensifies.
“Now I'm going to finish you kid!”
Shukaku's tail appears behind Gaara, as he lets his guard down focusing on the platoon. Gaara's eyes widen as he turns and sees Shukaku's tail racing at him. Unable to do anything Gaara is stabbed with Shukaku's tail. He coughs up blood and Shukaku smiles cynically.
Matsuri's eyes widen with horror as tears begin to flow down her eyes. Her heart shatters before her as she sees her husband's blood matted on the tail of the Ichibi.
“GAARA!”

I have my flow, every weekend, two chapters. I have two more chapters already done and should finish a third one tonight, and I do one on fridays so that means I have next week and the week after that so I have that flow. Anyway I hope you all enjoy and to those of you who read/comment/rep this post I thank you
