Sasuke leaves the village to get the snake power from Orochimaru, as known that Orochimaru's goal is to take Sasuke's body to complete his kinjutsu. Naruto knows that Sasuke is in danger and immediately goes to track Sasuke and rescue him, but a Konoha Anbu member stopped Naruto and confronted him.

That Anbu member who confronted Naruto was actually A Root Anbu member and a subordinate of Danzo. In the past, Danzo promised Orochimaru to deliver Sasuke's body to him. And now, that Anbu member is trying to kill Naruto for the disturbance as a mission.

Well looks like canon is pushed back to march or something...

A new opening would start on April 7th, so that is probably the plan...

Since Madara is shown getting raped in the current opening I guess they'll show that in late March

It's cause Kishi introduce Danzo so late into the story that we never got the chance to see much of his role until Kage summit arc. Since we know in the past he does all this corruption and chaotic but we have no idea what kind of tragic thing he did literally

makes sense. 22 chapters, at 2.5 an episode is like 8-9 episodes of canon. The video game is out too. Might as well milk the filler until the end of spring. Tsunade's dream until mid feb and then stretch Kiba and Hinata's dreams out until mid April. Naruto vs Kaguya picks up in May, before they add more filler(Obito's return with Flashbacks, Filler before Naruto and Sasuke's fight, and filler between ch 697-699 and between 699-700)

It's probably going to be a 6 month filler like we had at the beginning of this year. A 20 episode long filler like the 2nd Chunin Exams arc.

So far...

Part 1 = 9 episodes
Part 2 = 4 episodes confirmed.

I'm going to guess that it will end mid-March. Maybe one or two episodes of canon in March because of the opening.

Hopefully no great animators do these filler episodes so that they can work on canon episodes.
