In this recent chapter we find out that Sasuke is the reincarnation of Indra and what Naruto meant when he said he couldn't beat Sasuke with just power alone. It's confirmed that Naruto felt Indra's presence that day.

But I believe Sasuke and Naruto felt the brothers each time they clashed and since they're reincarnations, they share a brief plane of thought in which they alone can speak to one another. Kind of like the jinchuriki's.

It makes sense to me though. Naruto and Sasuke were able to read each other thoughts and feelings every time they clashed.

During VOTE, when they 1st clashed justus, Naruto felt Sasuke's willingness to kill him and Sasuke felt Naruto's heartache.

Naruto didn't really understand how he felt Sasuke's blood-lust until Sasuke explained a saying that "high level shinobi can read each other minds just by clashing".

During the final clash at VOTE, they both read each other minds again. I think this led to Sasuke holding back from impaling Naruto and in return, Naruto settling to just scratching his headband.

Then when they reunited at the bridge and clashed once more, they both understood each other once again without having to talk out loud.

Both of them appeared in a white backdrop with only them, like before, except this time, They actually held a conversation. The clash was brief but they got their feelings across within that time frame.

It led to Naruto's confirmation that if they both end up fighting each other for different causes they'd both end up dying.

Notice Sasuke isn't surprised in the least about Naruto's assumption, in the scan above. What baffled Sasuke is why he's still looking out for him despite his goals being to destroy Konoha.

Despite Naruto's words and what he knows, Sasuke denies everything. About understanding him, the outcome of their fight, and whether he'll change his ways.

TLDR: I'm probably pointing out the obvious, but Naruto & Sasuke have some kind of mind link thing going on every time they clash and that it's connected to them being reincarnations of Ashura and Indra.

I'm thinking Madara & Hashirama most likely felt the same when they clashed.

Well yeah look at Obito. Naruto got to learn about Obito past and feelings once the chakra tug of war connected without him saying a word about it and Naruto let a tear go then as it kept going they went into ninshuu.

Nice compilation. I am relieved that someone besides myself references that facial expression at the first VoTE as proof that Naruto's feelings toward Sasuke were not one-sided.

Confirmed that both Naruto and Sasuke are capable of understanding through ninshuu.
