Naruto and Sasuke are equal in different regards. They're equal in that they're the two halves that make up the Sage, but their powers are completely different (hypothetical) and therein lies which is more useful. IMO Naruto's powers seem more useful and capable of soloing anyone whereas sasuke might have trouble against opponents that Naruto could solo, Juubito for example. I don't think Sasuke's powers are cut out to take on a juubi jin alone. And that's why aruto and gai can solo where sasuke may not be able to.
But yes, Naruto and Sasuke are two sides of the same coin, but that doesn't necessarily translate to them being equal in powers, or abilities, or whatever. As of right now, it just seems that Naruto got the better end of the stick if u know what I'm saying
