I'm not saying Naruto had the hardest life but he certainly had it worse than Sasuke. He faced isolation since birth, not even a family. Sasuke had fond memories at least. Unlike Sasuke, Naruto was rejected and bullied by his peers. I feel worse for Naruto because he had no support system for a long time to help him cope with his hardships. Sasuke was always embraced by his peers but he gave them the cold shoulder anyway. When Sasuke belittled Naruto's life by saying he never had a family I lost all sympathy for Sasuke. He's a selfish brat who brought a lot of his current problems on himself.
